It is with great sadness that @LgDesmond heard the news that Mike Hanley passed away today. Mike served as Chairman from 1975 to 2012. The League extends its sympathy to his wife Nora, children, grandchildren and all the family. As a mark of respect, all games are off Sunday.

SEASON CANCELLED The @LgDesmond 2019-20 season is cancelled with immediate effect in response to Covid 19 and, as per FAI guidelines, the 2020-21 season will commence on weekend of 16-18 October. There will be no titles, promotion or relegation from the cancelled season.

@LgDesmond was saddened to hear of the sudden death today of John Neenan from Broadford. John was a hugely committed and influential member of the Lge Management Committee for many years. As a mark of respect all domestic games in the League this weekend have been called off.
