Tonight, we made history together.
There’s no place in the world like Miami-Dade. I’m honored to be the next Mayor of such a vibrant and special place.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Now, let’s get to work!
To the small business owners struggling to keep their doors open
To the families unable to make ends meet
To the frontline workers who put their lives at risk for us
To all the women with a dream of shattering our highest glass ceiling, we did it.
This victory belongs to you.
WE DID IT! I am humbled & honored to have earned the trust of our residents to serve another four years as your Mayor. Together, we achieved a decisive victory, proving that when we unite for progress, we are unstoppable. Let’s celebrate tonight—tomorrow, we continue the work.
Slavery didn’t benefit the enslaved—period. And here in Miami-Dade, we don’t rewrite history. African Americans fought to overcome slavery & segregation, & are still fighting racism to this day. We must condemn disinformation, ensuring the next generation learns from our past.
.
@TheAmandaGorman
, your poem inspired our youth to become active participants in their government and to help shape the future. We want you to come to Miami-Dade to do a reading of your poem. If you’re in, we will coordinate.
My opponent continues to use the word radical. But let’s be clear: I spent a lifetime leveling the playing field, helping people achieve the American Dream. There is nothing radical about that. There is nothing radical about providing necessary services to our people.
It’s an honor to welcome
@DouglasEmhoff
and to join
@DWStweets
and local Rabbis to discuss how we lead through our faith & unite in the teachings of helping our fellow neighbors, especially during these tough times. Together, we will get through this & come out stronger.
Behind my mask, I’m smiling because I know our better days are still ahead of us. Together, we will restore integrity, decency, and accountability to local government as we lift up all of our communities.
I'm ready to be a Mayor for everyone.
Thousands of voters came together from all across Miami-Dade to call for unity and change, not division and more of the same! I’m proud to ride with the
@SouthFlaAFLCIO
in this fight for the soul of our nation — this is what democracy looks like!
Let’s be clear: Women deserve to have control of our bodies, period.
Today, I was proud to stand with women, girls and advocates from across our community to assert our fundamental right to choose.
Like so many of you, I am outraged by these images. This is senselessly cruel treatment of our fellow human beings at their most vulnerable, and it has no place in America. We call on the federal government to take urgent action to address the humanitarian crisis at the border.
Border Patrol agents on horseback were seen using whips and horses to block the path of incoming asylum seekers during one of the busiest immigration seasons in decades.
I am deeply honored by the love and support Miami-Dade has shown me - I couldn't have asked for a more special celebration for this historic day. Together, we are going to win the future!
Yesterday you gave me the greatest honor of my life - the title of Madam Mayor of Miami-Dade. I promise to wake up every morning more determined and more inspired than the day before. Let’s get to work.

One of my first acts as Mayor will be to appoint a Chief Medical Officer to guide my decision-making based on medical science and factual data –– that is how it should have been from the start and how it will be once I’m elected.

Hillary, I am deeply honored by your support. Like you, I have spent my whole life fighting to lift up communities — and because of you, women like me will be able to shatter glass ceilings all across our country in 8 days.
Happy birthday, Madam Secretary & onward to victory!
Local leadership is critical to moving our country forward. That’s why I’m proud to support
@VoteDaniella
for Miami-Dade Mayor.
She is prepared, she is qualified, and she is ready to shatter glass ceilings as the county’s first woman mayor.
I congratulate
@JoeBiden
&
@KamalaHarris
on their election as the next President and Vice President. Senator Harris has made her mark on history and will blaze a path for millions of girls who for the very first time will see a woman occupy our nation’s second highest post.
Women deserve to have control of our bodies & access to reproductive healthcare – period.
The overnight ruling by SCOTUS validating an extreme, over-reaching TX law is a full-scale assault on this right & requires urgent action by Congress.
We've come too far to go back now.
Let’s be clear: as Mayor of the largest county in FL, I wouldn’t have sat next to our gov silently as he tried to justify his failed leadership. I would have come prepared with an aggressive plan to defeat this virus & protect our economy. I would have shown him how to do his job
It’s a new day in Miami-Dade and change has arrived. I’m proud to join
@MayorDanGelber
and
@MiamiMayor
at food distributions across our county as my first act as your Mayor-elect. These are tough times, but together, we will build back stronger than ever.
Will you help me celebrate today's one-year mark since winning our primary election?

I know we can make it happen by the end of the day.
Let's do this.
For the small businesses destroyed by COVID & incompetent leadership
For the young & old being priced out of our community
For the families trying to make ends meet
For all the little girls out there with a dream of becoming strong, powerful women
Tonight belongs to you.
We know much can be done for our residents when we work together, unite behind common good and focus on results.
@CharlieCrist
— let’s go win this thing.
In the most consequential election of our lifetime, our
@MiamiHEAT
proudly offered the iconic arena to expand access to voting.
@CarlosGimenezFL
said no. Proud to be joined by
@RepDMP
to encourage, not limit turnout.
When everyone votes, we all win.
This campaign has never been about me –– it’s about you, your family and how local government can better serve you. Everyone has a place in our campaign, so let’s get back to work, and fight for what is right: Democracy, decency, and integrity are on the ballot this November.
I will always listen. I will always take notes. I will always show up prepared and ready to do the tough job of Mayor — that’s my promise and my commitment to the people of Miami-Dade.
RT if you’re with me.
Congratulations to
@CharlieCrist
on his primary victory. His campaign is stronger for the General Election because Commissioner
@NikkiFried
ran a hard-fought campaign and reminded voters what’s at stake this November.
I was just briefed by
@MiamiDadeEMDir
on the status of Tropical Depression Eta and its potential impact on Our County. I will monitor this storm and keep an open line of communication with our EOC. It’s important that residents begin to take necessary precautions at this time.
Congratulations to
@DonnaDeegan
on this massive victory in Duval tonight. So exciting to have a phenomenal woman leading Florida’s largest city. When women win, we all win!
As I get ready to become your next Mayor, it was a joy to travel our county today. We visited some of the communities that made our victory possible and hidden gems in our county like our farmers in the Redlands and TequeñoMania in Doral - a must try!
I am so proud to announce that a bipartisan group of twenty-five mayors from across Miami-Dade have officially endorsed our campaign. That’s 75% of all the mayors in the county!
It’s been the greatest honor to run for our county’s highest office. Tonight, we close out early voting & Tuesday we make history. Remember, if you didn’t vote early, vote on Tuesday at your designated precinct.
Thanks to everyone who has stood with me — let’s win the future!
The
@Everglades
are a unique paradise in our backyard. Rob and I are frequent visitors whenever we can get away to commune with nature. Today, grateful after recovering from COVID, we paddled sunrise to sunset across the watery wonderland.
I can feel it. In every part of the county, people are exercising their civic duty because they understand how much is at stake. Tomorrow is the last day to early vote, so let’s make it count and win this election for all of us!
Honored to welcome
@JoeBiden
and
@DrBiden
to Miami. They’re working hard to bring our country together, and we’re doing the same in Miami-Dade. From Little Haiti to Little Havana & throughout our entire county, we need a partner in the White House and Joe will be that president.
Tackling climate change isn’t a choice, it’s a necessity. We must take swift action to protect all of our communities and our economy. As Mayor, I’m eager to work with our cities and bring together the brightest minds to confront this crisis and ensure a more resilient future.

A veteran and former school teacher who puts children and families first, Governor
@Tim_Walz
is a fighter for working people and the values we as Americans hold dear. Proud to support the Harris-Walz ticket — onward to November!
I am proud to announce that I've asked
@Tim_Walz
to be my running mate.
As a governor, a coach, a teacher, and a veteran, he's delivered for working families like his.
It's great to have him on the team.
Now let’s get to work. Join us:
Shattering glass ceilings in Miami-Dade has become a new norm and it’s truly inspiring. This is definitely a home run for
@Marlins
— congratulations, Madam GM Kim Ng!
Glass ceilings shattered. Madam Vice President. From Miami-Dade where history was made, we will work together to achieve progress for the good of all our communities.
Our community faces big challenges, and I’m getting to work right away on behalf of the people of Miami-Dade. It’s important for our residents to be involved to build the future we want to see together.

Today, I was proud to join our county’s leaders to honor the life of Trayvon Martin. Thank you to
@Barbarajordan1
for bringing us together as one of her final acts as commissioner and for giving
@SybrinaFulton
and her family this special recognition.
Our first hiring news from Miami-Dade Mayor-elect
@votedaniella

Chief of staff will be
@johannacervone
, former commission aide to her and former Fla Dem and UM exec who was active in the Levine Cava campaign, too.
Four years ago, we made history together. Then, we got to work.
I'm proud of what we've accomplished. And I'm proudly running for re-election to continue leading Miami-Dade County with vision, integrity, and results.
Exactly 1 week after a gunman with swastikas on his firearm killed 3 Black residents of Jacksonville, neo-Nazis rallied outside Orlando. Hate crimes are on the rise & evil is only emboldened by silence. We must stand up & loudly declare that hate has NO place in our communities.
I’m honored to have earned the recommendation of the

Remember to return your vote by mail ballot today! Early voting begins August 3rd and Election Day is August 18th!
I love spending time with my tiniest supporter and my newest granddaughter! I am so happy to be Miami-Dade's first girl mayor, because it means that girls like Leila get to grow up knowing that the possibilities are endless, and we are leading the way.
Rob and I send our prayers to the people of Nicaragua and Honduras as they brace for yet another major Hurricane. It’s increasingly clear that climate change isn’t just a threat — it’s a reality and it’s affecting communities and families around the world.
Three years ago today, we made history together! I was proudly elected the first woman and first Jewish mayor of Miami-Dade County, and we proved a grassroots, people-powered campaign can win.
Haven’t turned in your vote by mail ballot yet? You have today to drop it off and make your vote count at any of the following four locations:
• North Dade Library
• South Dade Library
• Elections Department
• Government Center
I was so proud to cast my vote today with my family by my side. Four years ago, I promised to lead with vision, integrity, and a commitment to results. Together, we’ve accomplished so much, and I am running for re-election to finish the work we started.
There is so much on the line in this election. From solving the affordability crisis to protecting reproductive rights.
Floridians deserve a real champion in Tallahassee – and I know Charlie will meet the challenges of this moment.
Let's get him elected our next governor!
Mayor Daniella
@LevineCava
is a true champion for the people of Miami-Dade — that's why I'm so grateful to have her support in this race.
This November, we're going to turn our state blue and build a Florida that actually works for all Floridians.
I'm deeply honored to earn the endorsement of
@nikkifried
. I look forward to joining forces with her in building new partnerships in Tallahassee that can help us solve our greatest challenges and provide the necessary relief that our residents desperately need.
Join me,
@ShevrinJones
& leaders from across Miami-Dade to stand with our Haitian Community! While some are spewing disgusting rhetoric about Haitians in our nation, in Miami-Dade County we stand united in support of our vibrant Haitian Community. It’s on us to speak out!

Once again humbled and honored to earn the recommendation from the Miami Herald. We have only 20 days to go to make history here and win the future!!

Just finished my first debate of the general election and I couldn’t be more fired up! Thank you to
@Univision23
for hosting and to all my supporters for always showing up when I need them most. Together, we are going to win the future!
Of course this year will be remembered for the virus that shook the world. But here in Miami-Dade we also did something to shake up our County in a good way – together, we shattered Miami-Dade’s highest glass ceiling. It's an honor to be included in
@historymiami
’s 2020 exhibit.
Rob & I cast our ballots for the future of Miami-Dade in the most special way possible. To all who have placed their trust in me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Together, we are going to shatter Miami-Dade’s highest glass ceiling tonight & win the future once and for all.
At a time when Florida is in need of leadership that respects local authority, believes in science, and does right by all its people, I could not be more proud to endorse
@Annette_Taddeo
for Governor!
She’s more than ready and I’m confident she’ll make families everywhere proud.
What a powerful night of unity, celebrating history & rallying for the future alongside incredible leaders! After our decisive victory this week, we’re continuing the momentum & energy as we bring Democrats, Independents, & Republicans together to win in November.
We will get through this crisis by bringing together our leaders from every community – and by ensuring our efforts & resources are used efficiently to solve our greatest challenges. Thanks to the League of Cities & Mayors for joining me as we start a new chapter for Miami-Dade.
One year ago, our community lost a beloved leader who dedicated his life to building a more just world – starting here in Miami-Dade, the community he cared about so deeply.
To all the family and friends remembering Patrick today, my heart is with you.
Tonight’s news about the cancellation of the presidential debate is unfortunate. This debate would have brought jobs & attention to our county & its issues. It’s a shame that
@realDonaldTrump
wouldn’t agree to rules that would’ve kept the debate going while keeping everyone safe.
NEW: The Oct. 15 debate between President Donald Trump and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami has been canceled, the Commission on Presidential Debates announced Friday.
We have the energy.
We have the momentum.
We have the largest grassroots movement Miami-Dade has ever seen.
40 days — let’s meet this moment and win the future.
I urge the admin & State Dept. to reject this move—the FARC is a dangerous terrorist group that caused deep pain for so many. We're at a pivotal inflection point in Latin America & should double down to reject the extremist communist agenda that destroyed nations like Venezuela.
Today, I stood alongside attorneys, elected officials, and healthcare workers to mark one year since the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v Wade. In Miami-Dade, we understand the need to protect the freedom and liberties we hold dear from extreme government interference.
Yesterday we celebrated, today we hit the ground running! Over the next few months, I’m going to need your help to reach every voter across our county. Together, we will win the future for Miami-Dade!
If you’re with me, stay in the loop:
I’m doing this for my granddaughter Lena — and for every little girl out there with big dreams. Because while I may be the first woman Mayor, one of them will be next. So tonight, listen to Lena and go vote for her Nonna tomorrow!
The Justice that Americans knew so well will be missed greatly. Justice Ginsburg broke barriers and defined the greatness of being a fair jurist. Never afraid and a giant in her own right, she made her mark in our democracy. Her light will shine bright for generations to come!
To kick off the final stretch, I was proud to join local leaders as we welcomed
@BarackObama
to Miami to remind voters what’s at stake in the 2020 elections.
We have 10 days to go — make your plan and go Early Vote!
I’m here at Kendale Lakes Library with an electrified crowd & my friend
@Annette_Taddeo
. We’re traveling across Miami-Dade for these final days of early voting & let me tell you, we’re feeling the momentum! Go make your voice heard — our democracy is counting on you!
Former Mayor Manny Diaz knows what it’s like to bring fresh ideas to local government. Now is the time for bold leadership that challenges our community to be our best so we can move our County forward. I am excited for this challenge and proud to have the former Mayor’s support!
Came out to West Kendall with
@DebbieforFL
because rain or shine, we’re getting out the vote for change and integrity for Miami-Dade! Tomorrow is the last day to vote early so go make your voice heard and let’s make

In this pivotal time, we need experience and bipartisan resolve. I'm proud to have the support of
@SenBillNelson
. His life of public service has inspired me to give back, lead by example, and work together regardless of affiliation in order to deliver for our constituents!
It was a special moment to cast my ballot today on the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote. To all those who have stood with me and have placed their trust in our campaign, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Today, we vote - and tonight we make HERstory!
We did it!
After more than a year of tireless effort by volunteers & supporters, we officially surpassed our goal of collecting 20k petitions.
Thanks to this grassroots movement, we’ll become the first campaign for Miami-Dade Mayor EVER to qualify for the ballot by petition!
When you’ve got a team like this on your side, you know you’re on the right side of history. Together, we are fighting for the soul of our nation and the future of our county — because it’s the
@common
sense thing to do.
