@JavierJMorales I played in the Monday/Wednesday baseball leagues at Reid Park against Dick Tomey and Richard. Dick Tomey could smack a baseball and rich threw an 88mph curve ball that was nasty as I’ve ever seen.

@CoachMikeHillSF As a parent and as a coach if my kid did either one of these they’d be sidelined. If we as coaches don’t teach our athletes to be better people on and off the field we are failing them. The sucker punch from behind is terrible and should be dealt with harshly.

@d_vicsik It is the right thing to do coach. I have a 5 year old autistic son. I have taken 3 years off to care for my son while my wife is in nursing school. I miss it but I have to take care of my family first before taking care of my high school players.

@JavierJMorales I deal with this often. One time at a restaurant an elderly couple was mad because my autistic son was making noise that they didn’t like. They turned and yelled at us to get our child under control. I kindly went over to them and sat next to them and explained his diagnosis.

I tell my players we are bonded as a family for life. Not just the 4 years they play for me but the next 50+ after that. I get calls from kids I coached 25 years ago still to this day.
