We are saddened to hear the news about a car accident which claimed the lives of two Hinton students this morning. Our thoughts and prayers are with those involved along with their family and friends at this difficult time.
Undefeated War Eagle Conference opponents Hinton and Remsen St. Mary’s came together prior to their volleyball match in solidarity with the Hicklin family. Hinton junior Carly Hicklin’s mom passed away Saturday following a battle with cancer. Dawn was a graduate of RSM.
Tonight’s MMCRU vs. Unity Christian volleyball game has been postponed.
Other schools around the area have announced theme color nights to honor Natalee at their volleyball games tonight. A nice gesture of support by our northwest Iowa schools.
Le Mars Community school board approves joining Missouri River Activities Conference at tonight’s meeting. School will join beginning in 2019-20 school year.
Best of luck to these girls as they play Denison-Schleswig for a chance to go to state! The 2002 team is currently the only in school history to make the trip.

Another game, another no-hitter for Remsen St. Mary's. The No. 1 Hawks take down Hinton as Jaxon Bunkers and Collin Homan combine for perfection. It's the fourth straight no-hitter to start the season for RSM.
MMCRU ends as state runner-up as they fall to Bishop Garrigan 52-49. Royals fought back in the second half as they trailed by 12 at halftime. Congratulations on a great season!
Alec Dreckman scores 51 points for Le Mars in Tuesday’s 75-72 loss to Sioux City East. Was 16-22 from field including 5-9 from 3-point range and 14-16 on free throws. Point total breaks school record of 44 set way back in 1965 by Bob Pearson.
After surpassing 1,000 career coaching wins earlier this season, Gehlen Catholic's Mike Meyer was honored after tonight's win over Trinity Christian. Coincidentally, the win over Trinity was his 400th win at Gehlen.

It’s a three-peat for Akron-Westfield’s John Henrich in Class 1A 160! He wins championship by pinning Carson Tenold of Don Bosco in 2:42. Finishes season 45-0 and went 132-0 in his three championship seasons for the Westerners.

Trailing 27-7, Remsen St. Mary's scored 35 unanswered points to beat Audubon 42-27 to advance to the UNI-Dome. The win avenges last year's state semifinal loss to the Wheelers.
