Israel is quietly ending reliance on US-made weapons in the wake of the Biden WH's pressure in the Gaza war.

The logical outgrowth of this is that ppl like this are putting civilians around the world in danger by making up new "laws" of war that apply only to Jews.

But in the second building, the troops encountered fiercer resistance. Yamam Commander Arnon Zmora (after whom the operation was renamed) was critically injured by close-range fire. The troops, after eliminating the guards, tried to save him as they left with the hostages.
During the delay, armed terrorists surrounded the building. As the rescuers and hostages tried to drive away through the crowded Nuseirat market, the truck carrying the three male hostages and Zmora came under heavy fire.
Officers from Shin Bet and the Israel Police's Yamam unit left the two trucks and stormed the buildings, once they got the order to act ~11 AM. The troops that went into the first building managed to kill the people guarding Argamani and rescue her relatively smoothly.

The 7th Armored Brigade and fighters from the paratroopers, Kfir and Givati brigades (stationed nearby) provided covering fire against dozens of nearby targets to help the hostages and their rescuers safely exit the refugee camp.

After weeks of planning and drills (including on life-size models of the buildings where hostages were kept), and with surveillance intelligence, Gallant met with the IDF chief, Nitzan Alon & other top generals on Wednesday evening. The 3 agreed on the mission.
Around 10:45, aircraft and ground observations determined the area was clear and no suspicious movement from the buildings. Shin Bet director Ronen Bar, IDF Chief Herzi Halevi, and the IDF's Southern Command chief watched surveillance of the alleys between the buildings.
