So, I’ve been commissioned to carry out a small piece of research looking into Somali-speaking women’s experience in maternity. Black women r 4x more likely to die during pregnancy, labour or postpartum & are twice likely to have their baby die in the womb or soon after birth.

I had an eye opening chat with the student led campaigners @N2OKnowTheRisks who were doing some work with neurologists at @NHSBartsHealth .I was shocked to hear about the increasing numbers of young ppl coming into RLH with spinal cord issues .
