There is no equivalent ‘coconut’ expression for white people. They’re free to think whatever they like. It’s only black and asian people who are shamed in this way. The idea of having to hold a particular view based on skin colour is racist. End of.
Disagreement is fine but the levels of hatred, misinformation & dehumanisation of Tories leads to this. This isn’t okay or healthy. ‘Tory Scum’ has been a tired utterance of the Left for years (looking at you Angela Rayner) so it’s shameful it’s used threateningly here.
#ToryScum
Excited to have been chosen as the Conservative parliamentary candidate for Brentford and Isleworth! And yes, if you hadn’t guessed from the photo, I’m supporting the brilliant
@RonnieMushiso
for the Greater London Assembly in May 🙌
Thank you to everyone who voted for me 🗳️ Results:

Although I didn’t get over the line this time I am thrilled with this result. Imagine having a celebration with 10,000+ people who believed in you. We’d
My last Council meeting as a Councillor tonight. Ten years has flown by 🙌 I won’t be seeking re-election in May as I am concentrating on Brentford and Isleworth and bringing my campaigning skills to stand up for its residents. Thank you to the residents of South Lake ward❤️🌳🗳️
I'm standing for election on 4th July for Brentford and Isleworth. 🗳️
Find out a little more about me and my six pledges:
🏘️Infrastructure First, when it comes to New Housing
🌳Protecting Green Spaces and Waterways
🚨Fighting Crime
🏅Increasing Pride in the Local Area
Thank you
@theresa_may
for all the help and support you’ve given me over the years. Here we are in my ward on local election day May 2019. Everyone came out of their houses as they wanted to meet the Prime Minister. You will be sorely missed from the green benches.

I have six key pledges to the people of Brentford & Isleworth if I'm elected on 4th July 🗳️
1) 🌳 Protecting our Green Spaces and Waterways:
We know how important nature is for mental and physical health. The environment is important to us all and if elected I’ll work to make
Went out with the local police on a Saturday night until 3am. The two policemen I was with were trying to persuade a suicidal teen to be taken home. Members of the public thought they were harassing her and didn’t help the situation. Good ending with the 16 year old taken home 🙌
If you live in Brentford, Isleworth, Hounslow, Osterley or Whitton please share your views on local and national issues with me by filling out my short survey: 📣
So happy to be re-elected to South Lake. Thank you so much to all the residents who have put their faith in me, looking forward to continuing to work hard for you x x x
Listening to Ai Weiwei talk to
@simon_schama
about his treatment at the hands of the Chinese state is eye opening and shocking. Would recommend a watch:
You can’t not be moved when listening to Councillor
@RonnieMushiso
’s experience of being a victim of knife crime. I’m firmly behind his campaign to make our streets safer. We need to get Ron elected to the Greater London Assembly on 2nd May 🗳️
Can we take a moment to notice the diversity of candidates for the next PM. A good number of women, state schoolers, ethnic minorities, a migrant/children of migrants and even a former child refugee. Totally authentic with no quota shortlists in sight 🙌
Great to discuss with the Defence Secretary, Grant Shapps MP, the importance of NATO countries boosting their spending on defence to 2.5% of GDP by 2030, just as the UK has announced. A strong global community investing in aid and defence will keep us all safe 🌎
Brilliant to be in Whitton today talking to residents with
@TwickTories
. Great conversations but disappointing to hear so many people’s poor experience with Richmond Council. Lots of work to do 💪
Thank you
@instofideas
for a fantastic book launch for ‘Free Speech And Why It Matters’ by
@andrewdoyle_com
. Just bought my copy and would encourage others who care about sharing ideas for better debates to do the same.
#freespeech
Thank you
@RishiSunak
for your speech and acknowledging how serious this issue is. Will be keen to know more about the framework that seeks to root out hate and intimidation.
We will ensure violence and intimidation have no place in our democratic process.
Today Prime Minister
@RishiSunak
and Home Secretary
@JamesCleverly
met police chiefs to discuss how to better protect the people, processes and institutions in our democracy.
Team out in Osterley today listening to residents. Great reception on the doorsteps to
@RonnieMushiso
’s campaign 🗳️ 2nd May is only around the corner!
We need more disabled people in politics so v sad to hear this. Well done
@OffertonLaura
for standing up to the ignorance of people. Stockport mayor 'abused' over flat shoes
It’s been a busy weekend delivering for the brilliant
@RonnieMushiso
. Keeping up getting the message out across Brentford and Isleworth until the polls close on 2nd May. 🗳️
@CanvassingCats
The suffragette and lioness lines? How patronising. It’s all very ‘Well done girlies. Sorry about the rocketing violence against women in London. We’ll pop another staring poster up’ 🤦🏻♀️
For the first time ever, our six Overground lines are each getting a new name and colour.
Read more about the inspiration and meaning behind each new name ⬇️
Great respect for anti-knife crime campaigner
@AWNDinsmore
who got 125,000 signatures to ban machetes. Machetes will be banned this year 👏🏻 I’m backing Andrew’s campaign to cut crime in London and for him to become the next MP for Hammersmith and Chiswick.
Thank you for electing Jenny Cheng and
@JJEllis87
! I'm looking forward to working with them both. Thank you
@theresa_may
for meeting residents in my ward - hope you enjoyed the warm Parklands welcome!
Great to be out in the lovely Whitton today ☀️ Residents are proud of their local area but say that the high street could do with a tidy up. Grateful to everyone who took time to chat. Lots of friendly faces and diverse opinions 🙌
RSK estate agents in Hounslow contacted me about the
@metpoliceuk
not following up with them after they reported that their glass window was attacked by pellet bullets. I want to hear from other local businesses who have gone through similar. I will be following up with the
Good luck to everyone up for election today! Everyone I've met who put themselves forward do it because they care. It's a tough job and elections are intense. Thank you for standing and supporting our country's democracy 🗳️
I’m sorry we didn’t get the result we wanted for you
@FestAKINBUSOYE
. You fought an incredible campaign and I’ll never forget how many people I spoke to in Mid Beds who said you were the only candidate to get back to them on an issue. Keep going. 💙
Highlight of the month sorted by
@ConYoungWomen
- an evening listening to the one and only JACKIE WEAVER! Great to hear of her adventures in Local Gov, including having been a councillor herself, and passion for encouraging more young people into community life. Total 🌟
It was an honour for me to invite women’s cancer nurse, Leah De Leon, to No 10 to recognise her work. Thank you
@WestMidHospital
for recommending Leah. She’s an amazing ambassador for the hospital and a local Brentford resident 🐝
Thank you
@5050Parliament
for a fantastic evening at The Speaker’s apartments celebrating women of all parties who are involved in politics. The Speaker looked great in his green 50:50 t-shirt 🙌

The BBC said terrorists in regards to 9/11 and 7/7. The articles are still up. The definition of a terrorist is someone who uses unlawful violence against civilians for political aims. Not wanting to take sides 🤔 Between violent men and murdered babies? Sure, stay neutral
British politicians know perfectly well why the BBC avoids the word ‘terrorist’, and over the years plenty of them have privately agreed with it. Calling someone a terrorist means you’re taking sides and ceasing to treat the situation with due impartiality. The BBC’s job is to
Brilliant to be invited by the Superwomen Cricket League to their incredible tournament and have the honour of presenting them with medals alongside Councillor Allan Joseph. We had definite girl power electric in the room⚡️Congratulations to all the women and their supportive
Very sad for Princess Catherine and her family. Wishing her strength and the knowledge that we’re all behind her in hoping for a speedy recovery. Let’s be respectful and leave her family in peace.
If you do one thing tomorrow please vote for
@RonnieMushiso
. He is an excellent campaigner and strong friend to Hounslow, Brentford, Osterley, Isleworth and Whitton 🗳️
You clearly don’t think Israel should exist, and therefore every Israeli baby’s murder is ‘not a provocation’. 17 British nationals have been killed or are missing and you’re on the side of Hamas. Morally bankrupt.
When I was editor of a student newspaper I wouldn’t have chosen that photo as it would have made us look unprofessional. There’s lots of dignified, warm photos of Susan Hall. Shame on
@EveningStandard
Congratulations Shahid Younis for being elected as the new Chairman of Reading East Conservative Association. So honoured I was the one to propose you

Absolutely sickening that
@uniofleicester
scholars at risk of redundancy are being intimidated by uni management using their social media posts against them.
#freespeech
@SpeechUnion
Please listen to this. I am being monitored on Twitter, I have had screenshots taken of my private Facebook account (which has never been public; any advice on GDPR breach ex ECJ Schrems II, please DM me), which are being used against me by the University:
Laid flowers at the new memorial in Forbury Gardens for James Furlong, Joe Ritchie-Bennett and David Wails. Always think of them when I walk through the Gardens 💜
I have six key pledges for Brentford and Isleworth if I get elected on 4th July 🗳️
5) 🏅Increasing Pride in the Local Area
The area is rich in history, culture and green spaces. There are great schools, businesses, charities and health care providers. I will champion its
Disappointing how tatty and frayed the Union Jack flag is outside
@ReadingCouncil
. Reading is a proud town; can we have a decent flag? 🇬🇧
@ReadingClowncil
Very happy I could speak in support of Angus Ross becoming an Honorary Alderman
@WokinghamBC
. A very rare honour and awarded to Angus due to his 32 years of his exemplary service being a councillor. Very well deserved 👏🏻
Excited to have been appointed Deputy Executive Member for Climate Emergency for
@WokinghamBC
. We all love the environment and we need to make it easier for residents to be green.
#climateemergency
Their protest is more important than the life of a newborn baby. Clearly they’re the good guys 🙄 Well done to the drivers standing up for the mother 👏🏻
.
@JustStop_Oil
block a newborn baby going to hospital. They show no compassion for the distressed mother. What will it take for these people to be arrested?
This is one of the biggest injustices. I have residents who are ripped off by management company charges with little to show for it. We need more powers for residents for transparency and ease for them to replace mgmt companies or take mgmt of their building into their own hands.
Absolutely ecstatic that
@shahid_younis
and Anne Chadwick have been elected in Woodley and Norman Jorgensen and
@CllrPauline
in Earley. Many congratulations to you all. A fantastic result for
@WokinghamBC
👏🏻🎉🥳
Thank you King Charles for dropping the rigidity of monarchy and dancing with Holocaust survivors. For many of us who are descendants of those who suffered under the Nazis, this means so much.
