It's freaking odd, nobody should be racing down Magnolia Lane at 3 pm on a Saturday but this man was, in a thick brown coat, beanie and rounded glasses. Tommy had his back turned to the stranger when they collided in brown and red, a sloshy mix in a lane of blue and pink flowers

"Do you wanna be in a band kid?" Tommy is awestruck. Not only did this man read his music (which was quite rude), like it, but he also asked Tommy if he wanted to be in a band? This was the weirdest day of his life. Oddly though, he finds himself accepting the offer.

The stranger apologizes until he catches a glimpse of the sheet music that spilled out of Tommy's messenger bag. He tentatively picks it up and hums the tune which greatly puzzles Tommy, then out of the blue the man introduces himself as Wilbur and asks Tommy one simple question:

So Tommy joins the band. And it's great! Techno supports him, Ranboo claps him on the back saying "it took long enough", Niki bakes him a cake to celebrate its amazing. Later Tommy, on stage with the worn electric guitar he's had since he was nine, smiles. It's all he ever wanted

AU where Tommy is a seventeen year old who works as a bartender and who's job is to make drinks and to pass along messages between vigilantes and between villains. Heroes poke around a lot but the pay's okay. That is until Tommy becomes a little more than an underpaid messenger.
