@marklevinshow
Our Founders established the Supreme Court as a co-equal branch of government capable of providing check to the other two.
Democrats are frustrated that the Court is slowing the consolidation of their power AS IT WAS DESIGNED TO DO!
@marklevinshow
They have to do this through regulation because they know they couldn't get any of this through Congress.
These regulations are an attack on the Constitution and separation of powers!
Landmark argued strongly for Judge Cannon to dismiss Jack Smith's charges against Donald Trump.
A few weeks ago,
@marklevinshow
interviewed constitutional scholar Josh Blackman on our argument. Check it out here!
(1 of 10) The NEA is not the only education union to engage in improper political spending. In recent years, the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) has said that it doesn’t engage in political campaign related activities --despite a prominent national political presence.
Rich liberals think that private schools are great for their children, but fight tooth and nail against school choice programs that expand opportunity to kids regardless of background.
Landmark was one of the first groups fighting for school choice back in the 90's and we are
WOW: Georgia Democrat Debbie Buckner just admitted–while arguing against school choice–to sending her own kids to private school.
"I NEVER went to an agency and said 'give me some money to pay my way.' I WENT TO WORK!"
She voted against the bill but it still passed 91 to 82.
@townhallcom
Clarence Thomas is a great justice! We are grateful for the ways he has stood up for the Constitution and troubled by these attempts to attack his character.
(1 of 13) The National Education Association (NEA) is one of the most powerful unions in the country. With nearly $400 million in revenue and 3 million members nationwide, they seek to use their influence to advance leftwing policy objectives.
@SenTedCruz
They are making a mockery of the Rule of Law. If laws are on the books they should be enforced, regardless of whether officials like those laws.
Our Constitution is under persistent attack from an ever-growing federal bureaucracy.
Landmark is effectively pushing back on this tyranny and leading the fight for constitutional separation of powers.

BREAKING: Kentucky Senate just passed a school choice constitutional amendment bill.
The vote was 27 to 8.
It already passed the House 66 to 31.
It now goes on the ballot.
...Justice Jackson just nudged Fletcher back from his concession that, if there was coercion, there might be a first amendment violation. Jackson suggested that some coercion might be allowed in "a once in a lifetime pandemic." That question is chilling for free speech advocates
BREAKING NEWS: The Supreme Court has agreed to hear Donald Trump's challenge to the Colorado Supreme Court ruling removing him from the ballot.
This is great news! SCOTUS must reject this weaponization of the 14th Amendment.
@marklevinshow
This ruling will disenfranchise voters in Colorado and lead to elections being decided in the courtroom rather than at the ballot box.
The Supreme Court must step in!
Landmark filed a complaint against each of the

Great explanation from

sacrificed our children's education during covid.
Sadly, they continue to put politics over education.
"Chicago Teachers Union's net favorability among Chicago voters dropped to negative nine from positive two – an 11-point plummet – in just eight months."

The Takings Clause of the 5th Amendment requires the government to compensate property owners when taking property for public use. In a victory for property rights, the Supreme Court held today in Sheetz v. El Dorado County that the Takings Clause does not distinguish between
Without allowing Kavanaugh to get in a word edgewise, Hirono has managed to call him a misogynist, racist, and liar. She cuts the judge off before he can remotely answer.

@FoxNews
But we shouldn't be surprised. Randi Weingarten and the AFT have been funding far-left causes for years, while ignoring the law that requires them to report their political spending!
Randi Weingarten and the AFT forced school shutdowns and mask mandates on student's across the country
Despite her attempts to change the narrative, we're still focused on holding them accountable
Judge Kavanaugh is showing why he is such a popular professor. He is delivering a master class on the independent judiciary.

Elections should be decided by voters...not judges.
This is why Landmark is fighting to stop the left from weaponizing the 14th Amendment against Donald Trump.
As a special counsel, Smith was not subject to the Senate confirmation process and cannot be impeached. Congress has no effective check on his authority.
It doesn't take a constitutional scholar to see how this raises serious separation of powers issues.
Notice, these media hacks never discuss the actual substance of this issue, where two former attorneys general consider it so important they’ve raised it in both Florida and the Supreme Court. The fact is that Smith was unconstitutionally appointed. I will address this further
@suebeeak
@nytimes
That is a different situation. This ruling applies to services that could be considered speech. So you could refuse to design a website for a church but couldn't necessarily kick someone out of your store for wearing a cross
Justice Elena Kagan rightfully critiques Colorado's decision to remove Donald Trump from the ballot.
One state should not be able to singlehandedly alter the course of an election like this.
Great video from
@michaeljknowles
on the importance of the Chevron decision.
Under Chevron, unelected bureaucrats had the power to make our laws.
Overturning Chevron restores Congress' constitutional law-making authority.
The Supreme Court just announced a possible decision day next Wednesday. We think there is a strong possibility this will be Trump v. Anderson.
We'll be watching closely and hope to see the Court protect democracy by restoring Donald Trump to Colorado's ballot.
Democrat Senator Anthony Williams CALLS OUT TEACHERS UNIONS:
"I'm TIRED of having these arguments with people who will come at me with lists of folks to protect their interests on the back of my children.
Don't suggest to me it has anything to do with equity.. do not do that."
Justice Jackson is worried about the First Amendment limited the government's ability to censor speech.
That is precisely the point of the First Amendment.
Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is concerned that the First Amendment is “hamstringing the Government” when it comes to censoring speech on social media…
On May 17, 1829, John Jay died. Jay was the first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and, along with James Madison and Alexander Hamilton, an author of the Federalist Papers.
@BreitbartNews
This is dangerous because calls to pack the court rest on the assumption that the current court is illegitimate. It is irresponsible for members to Congress to undermine another branch of government
Elizabeth Warren and other leftist are not satisfied with taxing your income. They want to impose a wealth tax to further expand the government's control over everyday life
That's why Landmark is fight to stop the wealth tax with our brief in Moore v. United States
Condoleezza Rice ON FIRE for school choice:
"How can you say you're for civil rights? How can you say you're for the poor? When you're condemning those children to not being able to read?"
She also calls out hypocrites opposing school choice who send their own kids to private.
Judge Kavanaugh has kept his responses bland and has avoided conflict. His back and forth with Senator Blumenthal just showed his quickness. He made the Senator look foolish by noting how he rephrased and changed questions.

Vice-President Harris convinces exactly zero people with her assurances about the border.
It is clear that the Biden administration has no interest in enforcing our immigration laws.

The Court's independence is essential to its functioning as an effective check on the other two branches. Congressional leaders have no business opining on the Court's internal matters
Leftist attacks on Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito get more absurd every month.
They are targets because of their consistent adherence to constitutional principles, which infuriates the left.
Check out 'The Left Has Been Doing ‘Oppo Research’ on Conservative Justices for Years' on Chronicles website
Leftist “opposition researchers” are relentlessly concocting ethics complaints about the Supreme Court’s conservative justices to try to get them

If this ruling stands it will lead to more ridiculous 14th Amendment suits.
Our elections will be decided in court, not at the ballot box

Chevron should be overturned.
Our Founders gave legislative power to elected members of Congress.
Chevron allows unelected bureaucrats to usurp that power.
Senator Vance is right. Yesterday's verdict is about much more than Donald Trump. It is about a weaponized justice system that threatens to destroy the Rule of Law in our country.
Sen JD Vance: "Banana republics never stop with the guy at the top. It’s going to go after a ton of other Republican officials and conservatives unless we fight back."
@nytimes
This is a great ruling.
It restores constitutional separation of powers. Chevron gave too much power to unelected federal bureaucrats. Overturning it will shift law-making power back to Congress, where it belongs.
Jack Smith's indictment against Donald Trump in the classified documents case should be dismissed.
Tomorrow, we will be in Florida arguing that he does not have the authority to bring charges.
On October 27, 1787, the first of the Federalist Papers was anonymously published. These essays helped ensure the ratification of the Constitution. Thomas Jefferson would later describe them as "The best commentary on the principles of government which ever was written."
The Consumer Finance Protection Bureau exercises broad authority over our economy yet operates entirely independently outside of Congress' power of the purse. We just filed a brief asking the Supreme Court to declare the CFPB unconstitutional.
"I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure that it will cost to maintain this Declaration. Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory"
John Adams on the vote for Independence, July 2, 1776.
Jack Smith is exercising the power of a US Attorney, even though he was never confirmed by the Senate. Check out Landmark's brief on why he should not be able to bring charges against Donald Trump.
Our Constitution requires all three branches to respect the authority of the other branches.
The Biden WH is bragging about moving ahead with a plan despite opposition from the other two branches.
This executive overreach is contrary to constitutional separation of powers.
