When I buy I do not wait on volume to confirm a move above the pivot point to go long. I buy a pilot position at the pivot, set a stop just under LOD (if the stock isn’t extended) and I observe the stock’s volume shortly after I buy to determine if I want to gain more exposure.

From 1984 to 1989 Mark Minervini did not make any money in the stock market. One of the most accomplished stock market traders of all time did not make any money for a five to six year period. There is no need to feel discouraged when you aren't making money. Just don't quit.

O'Neil, Minervini, and Weinstein all had one thing in common. Each one of these guys bought stocks that are in uptrends, avoid downtrends, and protect capital when they are wrong. Thing about it is too many people try to overcomplicate and overthink things. The chart says it all

The Dow is down 0.29% today while the Nasdaq is up nearly 3%, S&P500 up 1.4%, and the Russell 200 up 1.4% as well. This is proof that money is flowing from “safer” names to growth stocks. Exactly what we want to see.

Market breadth right now is very poor with only 30% of stocks in the Nasdaq above their respective 50 day MAs. David Ryan hit the nail on the head earlier about how it's time to be defensive in tech and in the market in general. Distribution days are really beginning to pile up.
