“By 1850”… the fugitive slave act was released 8 months after his escape which caused him to flee to England for 25. It makes no logical sense fast he would have émusses enough money to buy 5 slaves; if it was so easy to buy slaves the abolitionists would have done it.

There’s no evidence he was rich let alone enough to buy 5 slaves. Abolitionists would fundraise for him to go and speak at different places, he couldn’t even afford transport. This “rich” narrative needs to be ended.

Nah, he came back to America with his new family for a while, after slavery was abolished, before finally moving to Canada.
