By the way very impressive ride from @j_nordhagen . Result is not showing much but he was arguably the 3rd strongest rider in #Wollongong2022 Jr RR. He had an amazing season for a 17yo, not even fully committed to cycling yet. I hope to get powerdata at some point for a report 👀

This terrible Mader passing made me think on how to improve safety without changing drastically Cycling. Is it feasible to adapt Rally Racing pacenotes to large signs announcing turns on descent ? It would provide universal standard and keep descents which are part of the sport.

This is like a panic buy on a closing transfer window. Most likely overpaid rider with a decreasing level, I question if he will even be T5 climber domestique on the team. Hopefully there are other ways to build up a functional cycling team 😬

I wish the best possible recovery to Gino Mader. But people's inability to deal with twist of fate has once again led to all sorts of wild takes today. Cycling will remain a beautiful and dangerous sport and bad luck is meant to strike just as on everyday's life.

I see all comments about motos on the climb but the descent of Vingegaard is worth a debate. Why do you think he kept behind that close despite being obviously faster ? Can't only be pressuring Pog to crash but he could have gapped him for sure. #TDF2023

Instead of having 1 weakness, typical issue for a GC rider, Martin is likely to have only 1 strength, being climbing. All other aspects are from average to mediocre. That's very concerning when you have GC ambitions.

Villella overperformed during the Italian classics. 👏 He's also a decent domestique, not great, not terrible. Thing is, building a team around a GC rider that has one of the worst ITT skills in the entire peloton, is a problem. 😬
