Yesterday, Officers Gomez and Garcia were patrolling the area of an elementary school when they saw a drug deal. Officers Gomez and Garcia quickly detained the suspect and recovered half a pound of fentanyl. Countless lives likely were saved because of this arrest. Great job!

Yesterday Rampart Vice and Senior Lead Officers worked an undercover operation to target businesses and vendors that are buying stolen merchandise from shoplifters for resale. The operation resulted in multiple arrests for receiving stolen property.

This afternoon, an LAPD airship spotted a street takeover in the Pico Union area with over 15 off-road vehicles. With the help of the air unit, Rampart officers were able to contact the group, cite the drivers, and impound their vehicles.

Yesterday Rampart officers conducted a vehicle stop for a traffic violation and discovered $4,822.11 worth of stolen merchandise in the car. The items were taken from a retail store in Pico Rivera. The vehicle’s occupants were arrested for Grand Theft.

Rest in Peace to Retired LAPD Captain Don Vincent. A Vietnam veteran with the 82nd Airborne, he retired from LAPD, joined the City Attorneys Office. Took part in 104 jury trials and retired with 51 years of service. @LAPDALopez @LabradaAl @LAPDChiefMoore
