So many questions… But no indecision or hesitation. I’m voting for
@VP
in November.
I hope that all Biden’s supporters feel the same way I do. This election is about more than candidates or parties, it’s about democracy and a way of life.
Respect to
@JoeBiden
for making the
My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term. My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best
@ezraklein
@brianstelter
1. Voters across the country think he should stay in.
2. Biden has been +80 for a while. This should have been discussed a year ago.
3. People abandoning Biden now seem opportunistic, disloyal, and weak.
4. This is a high risk strategy that could really backfire.
@Acyn
One of the big falsehoods of American politics is who the recipients of aid programs like SNAP really are. She's right, the majority of program recipients are white, rural Americans.
It's also funny that those recipients consistently vote against their own self-interests.
@SethAbramson
You're right to be angry! Hopefully Democrat voters have figured out that the media is not our friend, celebrities are not political experts, and most of our congress and senate are spineless.
All you have to do is think back to 2016. We could have had
@HillaryClinton
@ajc
At least be original. NYT did it yesterday.
When can we expect an editorial about the guy with 34 felony convictions, a $400 million fine, and a rape verdict?
@atrupar
Actually, having her turn it into a "circus" will remove all credibility from any part of these hearings - which is a good thing.
Fauci is a tireless hero who could have walked away with a comfortable retirement years ago but stayed to fight the good fight. He deserves better.
@drmistercody
Probably to turn right? Seems obvious.
Curious how he's not complaining about the fact that the same government paved the road so he doesn't to drive in the mud. Damn socialists.
@jeffjarvis
It is more obvious now than ever. Media is about money.
If we want journalism to return we need to stop the money. Cancel NYT, WAPO, Fox, and the revenue will fall. Stop clicking on it and advertisers will flee.
Money talks, let’s make it say what we want.
@nhannahjones
@HeatherThomasAF
Objectivity / subjectivity is not the problem.
“For profit first” is the problem. Sensationalism sells.
“If it bleeds it leads.” - Sell, sell, sell. Objective political coverage is boring but important.
@gregstantonaz
@reesejgorman
Where was he and everyone else 6 months ago? None of these people are leaders. They blow with the wind, whatever direction it goes.
And now they’re ducking for cover in case Biden loses instead of getting behind him and pushing.
@RonFilipkowski
Oh, we'd stand, it would be an ovation... a long, standing ovation, the best one ever, with clapping. The best clapping. It would be tremendous.
@PGDynes
It won't be long before nobody lives anywhere between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn.
Is anyone preparing for the inevitable tide of people seeking livable climates, north and south?
@RpsAgainstTrump
Every time I turn around…
“Republican ex-con caught committing voter fraud…”
“Republican homophone caught with male prostitute…”
“Republican pastor caught molesting little kids…”
What is it with these people?
@RepMTG
All he had to do was show up, answer questions, and not perjure himself. He decided he was above the law and the law disagreed so he goes to prison.
Not that hard to understand or is it?
@JoJoFromJerz
Were these hearings a surprise or something? How come none of them are prepared?
Don't members of congress make like $200k per year? Any normal person coming into a presentation like this with so little preparation and then being humiliated with facts should lose their job!
@PGDynes
Climate change will cause massive migration to Europe and North America.
You think there's immigrants fleeing north to Europe and North America now? Just wait.
@benwikler
We're not just voting for a single individual. We're voting for the administration responsible for these great results.
And, more importantly, we're voting against the formation of an administration that will take it all away.
Keep that in mind.
@AllanLichtman
@morgfair
The media is a slave to sensationalist content. If they don’t have it, they’ll create it.
Biden’s policy wins are boring but that’s what everyone should be talking about.
@donwinslow
Nope you didn’t. They didn’t write it. There’s no money in it - everyone knows that convicted felon Trump should drop out. Nobody is going to read it and get outraged, therefore no clicks, no money.
@thedailybeast
She killed her dog because it annoyed her, not for nourishment or because it was a threat. It was not a necessary thing to do it was just cruel. She is a horrible person.
This is not a boast, it is a confession from damaged person.
@ruthbenghiat
The media let us down a long time ago by continuing to publish Trump's "propaganda" without qualification. His lies are only heard because the media amplifies them for profit. It is not an "achievement" it's a failure. Media's failure.
Media is about money, not news.
@Sputnik_Not
Kind of blows it when mentions the two Royal Navy aircraft carriers. I'm sure they wouldn't deploy two just yet.
Mosquitoes - I can believe that. We all know how well mosquitoes do in the winter.
@thejackhopkins
The USA is not a monarchy. I don’t want more Kennedy’s, Bush’s, or Trump’s.
This country thrives on new blood not dynasties. We need Biden now but after that it’s time for some new names and faces.
@tify330
Classic short term thinking. Most of the Dems calling for Biden to step aside without suggesting an alternative are only doing it so they can say "I told you so" if Biden loses.
It is cowardly criticize without solutions and it is disloyal to abandon ship this late.
@KyivIndependent
Very insightful.
Putin started this but he can’t stop it without being humiliated. But if the war continues and spreads it will mean the end of imperial Russia and Putin.
@RpsAgainstTrump
Some people will never understand how small and interconnected the world is. Even after a global pandemic.
Small minds have no place in big policy decisions.
@yashar
@AntiToxicPeople
Everyone is missing the big picture. All Biden has to do is get elected and inaugurated. Then he can resign or retire or whatever and we get Kamala anyway.
Abandoning him now looks opportunistic, disloyal, and weak. It divides the party and is risky this close to the election.
@gtconway3d
@CNN
used to be good. However, somewhere along the line, journalism gave way to "news as a product" and everything became sensationalist. This is not a recent development. It's just much worse now. Like panic mode.
How low can they go?
@thejackhopkins
The election is still several months away. Protests like this tend to be short lived. There is a very good chance the press and public will forget all about this long before November.
@johnpavlovitz
I can't speak for Gen Z but this all feels very reactionary.
They are both too old. We all know it. It's not new. Biden has been +80 for a while. This should have been addressed last year.
If Gen Z is anything like Gen X, they probably just feel screwed by old people again.
@Maks_NAFO_FELLA
Never understood how the Russians miss the fact that the US spends something like $800 billion per year on weapons / military... Where do they think that money goes? Of course our shit is better than theirs.

Ever have a bad day at work? Even when it was an important day? Did you expect to get fired the next day even though, until then, you were doing well?
There are 1,460 days in a 4 year presidency. It’s one of the most intense jobs in the world. There’s going to be a few bad days.
@highbrow_nobrow
@atrupar
He further claims that the Soviet Union was a raging success, that Apartheid wasn't so bad, that the moon is made of cheese, and the earth is flat.
Thanks Lindsey...
@DBarkhuff
SEAL or not, you have the right to voice your opinion (which I agree with). More so because you contributed to the protection of that right.
@DougWahl1
Steve’s gotta make his money too. It would be boring for him to write about ‘anybody can have a bad day.’
Media is about money. Once people realize that and start to think it all becomes clear.
@JohnCleese
It's not so puzzling if you stop your sentence at: "some people do not want to be governed."
Most people don't need to be "governed" as much as we would all like our public servants to better manage our national assets.
@nytimes
Wait… I’m boycotting them for their donations to right wing religious hate groups, and now the right wing religious hate groups are going to boycott them too?
Is there anyone that Chick-fil-A hasn’t offended?
