Unpopular opinion: i miss the days where there was only like 12 worlds divisions, fans were based off of a team not an individual, themes were executed through choreo not full on costumes, and teams could take 30 seconds extra on the floor to celebrate hitting at Worlds.

I started cheerleading when I was 18. I went into the gym barley knowing how to do a backhandspring. By the end of the season I was throwing double fulls. Train. Practice. Earn it. Don’t water down/create new divisions so that “every one gets a chance”. That’s not how life works.

The year is 2020. Rhinestones are banned. Bows are a 5 point deduction. Skirts required to be a minimum of knee length and all uniforms must be full top turtle necks. Judges are still distracted/bothered. Weekly meetings held to implement new rules making comps family friendly.
