This is an appreciation tweet ... to myself🤧. Am I narcissistic? No. Is this for clout? No. So why the hype on Twitter?
Frankly because it needs to be done😂. Anyone who knows me knows how much I fear this space. Y'all can be mean😭. But here it goes.....

Have you ever wondered how your favourite companies manage their Figma files & design systems?
I have, too. 😌
So I'm starting "The BluePrint Series".
A monthly session with top African designers showcasing their company's design system & processes.
What
We all know
@joinkuda
, the money app for Africans💜.
A company with some of the boldest visual branding in Nigeria... and (arguably) the one with the most product updates per week 😏
But how do they maintain consistency in their visual style across multiple products?
The
It's the hiring season and it's normal to be given a design task as part of the process.
Sometimes they can look difficult. Don't get scared😀, it is just a way to evaluate your thinking process as a designer.

In 2017, when
@cowrywise
was founded, its design language was minimal but functional.
Today, Cowrywise is transforming wealth management for Africans with seamless experiences on their web & mobile products.
Want to learn how their design system supports both these platforms?
I had fun building the color semantics variables for our new Design system.
@UseLemfi
It was quite tricky and challenging finding how to structure the multiple brand colors 😤.
Time to link to Styles so our designers can easily work with it. 🚀

I was so impressed by the thoughtful questions and engagement from you guys. You made it fun!
Zazuu was a product I really loved. I was sad when it had to shut down.
Everyone on the team was a god in their respective fields, legit top-tier level of work, ethics and culture.
I'm happy I got to work with them. I learned a lot of lessons and made lasting friends too 🫶❤️
left zazuu in march because we just couldn’t operate anymore due to macro economic conditions.
darkest moment of my career but i learned a lot from this experience and morphed into an engineer that focuses more on the bottom line.
what an amazing team we had !

I really enjoy exploring how companies build their design system.
Today, I came across
@segment
's Evergreen colour system and I smiled 😅.
It was structured until it got to the dreaded “Yellow” and the designers were like.. Nope ✋🏾.. we’re only going to do two shades.
@leyeConnect
Nope this isn’t it Leye., I Cor 3 talks against this. I suggest you study it.
Responding like this to a tweet that’s made by a non-Christian talking about two pastors isn’t proper.
And you might say you didn’t mean harm but the way you phrased it is offensive.
@leyeConnect
I have a different opinion.
1. I don't think there's a need to change the dark green, it's distinctive from the pure black.
2. The new poster has a green that's not legible, it has a poor contrast on the white background.
3. As for the spacing, that's really up to personal taste
I think
@MTNNG
should just outrightly tell us they don’t want to provide us with internet service again.
This behaviour is like someone who’s intentionally being toxic so their partner would break up with them. 😒😒
Why Twitter? I've had this fear of airing my work and opinions publicly & moving forward, I'd like to start an atomic habit of doing so. If I can be vulnerable where I'm scared of the most, I think I'd be fine. So here's a reminder to myself - We're creating a madness
It's two months till the new year 🎉💃. As a designer, you might have goals you plan to reach before then
but scared you won't meet up.
Join me and The Clan, every Friday by 8pm WAT, in a safe space as we guide you hit to set goals.
See you Friday😁
When you set a goal, you might sometimes get too relaxed and drop off.
@KingFayemi
and the clan will be hosting a space for the purpose of accountability every Friday starting from 5th Nov.
Mark your calendars!!!

Fun fact: At a company where I once had to work a hybrid model, I did more work on the remote days.
On days I worked at the office, it was mostly catch-up, and syncs. The actual work continued when I got home.

@Ayoolafelix
Ux Designers are focused on: How easy is this product to use, how does the user interact with the product, Is it accessible?
Product designers are about: Does this product solve the user problems and needs while meeting the business goals. What are cost, effort and impacts etc
That's what we do!!!! Productivity's about to go through the roof 🚀🚀.

Lol, as much as this is sad. You can't do that. It's not a tightly packed street like those in Lagos. There's a considerable spacing between each house that it's very possible not to know what's going on in the next.
I'll be with
@kingsleyiheonye
@Dev_khris
@mcbiare
every Friday by 8pm WAT. The goal is to help designers on their growth journey by staying accountable to their set goals.
@creativestefan
I usually make use of the "Text to H1" format for the global styles, then have specified names (Aliases) for their respective use cases.

You've done a good job producing a great solution, but there's one more thing.
📌 Document your process and present how you came up with your solution. If you carried them along, it's easier to make references to your steps. Kill it🔥

@iotukoya
I see, that’s an interesting take. I agree to an extent, but “good designer” seems to be the better term.
Now, why do you believe a designer must know how to use Illustrator, from the definition you’ve given?
🚀🎉 After months of hard work, I’m thrilled to share my new portfolio! Huge thanks to the amazing friends I’m starting an agency with—couldn’t have done it without them. 🙌 Check it out, let me know your thoughts, and please like, share, and spread the word! 💥🙏🏽
