I’m at a lost with college recruiting. @FootballSebring literally made it to the Final Four in 5A, yet plenty of our Class of 2022 aren’t getting the attention they deserve. For ex, we have a Safety who had 7 Interceptions (really 8) & he can’t get a FCS offer??? Bullshit!!! 😡

Serious question.... How does a kid get rated as a 5-Star or 4-Star prospect? I’ve watched a WR prospect whose 6’0” 165 lbs and a CB whose 5’11” 175 lbs... Neither stood out to me as REALLY special. I mean we have kids better than them at Sebring HS. SMH!!! 😔 #RealTalk 💯

Year after year we see this happen. Elite WR’s don’t run a fast 40 time but have great in game speed/results. Can we stop equating WR’s value to their 40 times & evaluate them off GAME RELATED THINGS/GAME FILM itself? 🤷🏾‍♂️ Coleman is a baller!!!

Thru out this coaching process I’ve learn to put less blame on the players & more ownership on myself. I made a stupid play call this weekend at our 7v7 tournament. It put my young QB in a bad position to throw an interception against the #1 team which resulted in us losing. 😕

Someone might think this year has been horrible for me because we are 0-6 thus far, but it isn’t. I’ve learned so much! I understand it’s a process and we are tremendously better than we were last year. I promise this will be the last year we struggle like this.

I really believe HIGH SCHOOL COACHES need to stop making youth league coaches feel beneath them. Check this out. They see your kids before you do. They coach your kids before you do. They have 1st chance of influence before you do. Instead of looking down, partner with them!

After my senior ended I had a chance to attend Mount Union. Their receivers coach showed me highlights of Pierre Garçon and told me I could be the next great receiver after him instead Cecil did. My pride of going D3 got in my way! D1 is not the only way to achieve your dreams.
