One thing postpartum depression taught me was to NEVER neglect myself. I do one thing everyday for myself. That could be exercising, getting my hair done, a 10 step skincare routine, anything that pours back into me.
If life starts at conception, we need to update the tax code that allows the parents to add that unborn child as a dependent. I also believe that the father should pay child support for the unborn child and take on expenses associated with pregnancy.
One covid restriction that should never go away is social distancing. There is no reason for anyone to be on my back while we’re waiting in a checkout line. No reason
And I’m not against interracial dating/marriages but what I don’t appreciate is. This narrative of Black women having to struggle in love and only getting praise for our superhuman resilience in the storms men can create.
I’ve cried tears about things I’ve never thought I would ever experience. I’ve lost people I never thought I would lose.
I hope I’m done with character development for awhile.
Every time I get frustrated with what’s not happening or what i don’t have just yet I grab my journal and note everything I have and even the prayers I’m currently living in. Helps me calm down lol
