@XXL
People in charge of recognizing talent are notoriously terrible at recognizing talent.
The Back to the Future Script was turned down 40 times.
Shaggy was told “It Wasn’t Me” was a song that didn’t even belong on the album. (It went 3x Platinum)
ESPN bastardized the spirit of competition, spoke in platitudes, & used an injury as an excuse to screw a team out of a chance to compete; all for the purpose of sneaking their cash cow conference into another attempt at backdooring into a title.
Abhorrent post-truth politics.
In November.
Dissolve this shit. Dissolve the playoff committee. Dissolve ESPN having anything to do with the process.
Give objective metrics for a team to make the playoffs besides this “Eye Test” bullish*t.
Get over it for a second and then I think to myself…
“These rotten MFers didn’t put a undefeated P5 Champion in the playoff”
SON, this is still the most ridiculous BS I’ve ever heard.
It’s egregious.
Rece Davis feels sorry? Didn’t seem like it at the time.
And I could only imagine the response from
#FSUtwitter
if Joey Galloway even thought of posting a video. Lmao
Booger McFarland, however, Stood on Business.
I don’t understand how people can’t see that just having this team playing competitive with this roster is basically a miracle.
I ain’t worried about Mike.
Four years ago an injured Deondre Francois was retweeting tweets saying he was better than James Blackman and would have beat Miami had he been starting.
This is a complete cultural 180.

HC Mike Norvell: "I love watching this team, how they're competing together," says he's been really happy to see the entire team -- not just offense, not just defense -- celebrating the success of teammates.
Jermaine Johnson was the one of the major catalyst in this programs turnaround
He was the main domino to fall that brought all the impact transfers.
His work ethic, resiliency, and winning attitude rubbed off to the point where it is still felt within the program today.
I forgot to post this Saturday so I figured I might as well do it now. I caught up with Jermaine Johnson before the Florida State game. He spoke to the team Friday night:
Jim Phillips went to war for Florida State when it was left out of the college football playoff. The conference added three new teams and took other measures to create extra revenue. No one forced FSU or anyone else in the ACC to agree to this deal. This is beyond ridiculous.
This team is much easier to root for than the teams we fielded the past three years.
They play for each other, they don’t quit, and they have cut down on the dumb penalties.
Night & day difference between the more talented, selfish guys that quit as soon as things got bad.
“ATTENTION CITIZENS OF GOTHAM. A BOMB WILL GO OFF EVERY HOUR ON TOP OF THE HOUR IN A DIFFERENT PART OF THE CITY UNTIL BATMAN REVEALS HIS TRUE IDENTITY. “
I've watched this whole damn game.
Thoughts
-Nick Saban couldn't coach this roster to more than 6 wins (and that's being generous)
-Mike Norvells offense will do well in the future
-Concerned about Fuller's defense.
-Current roster culture is the biggest detriment to this team
Matt Rhule went 2-10 at Temple his first year and 1-10 at Baylor his first year.
His last year at Temple they were 10-3 before he was promoted to Baylor
His last year at Baylor 11-3
He's in the NFL now.
Judging coaches on Year 1's is nearsighted and dumb.
They were 18 down. They fought back and took it to overtime against a team they had no business beating talent wise. I’m pissed we lost too but you gotta be happy with that effort and the foundation of a good football program continuing to being laid.
I saw steady improvement from Jacksonville State to North Carolina.
Then they started feeling good about themselves got smacked by Louisville and a lot of the older guys quit? Is that an accurate assessment?
Some of these takes on here are soft. We’re down it’s 21-7. Team still has a chance to win. And if we don’t I’m still happy with the trajectory of this program.
They *literally* could not have schemed a better offensive game plan against Notre Dame with the pieces and limitations they have. The ability of the offensive staff to adapt to their players is tremendous.
Figure out defense and we are rolling.
Bring back the two team BCS national championship man.
The playoff has completely devalued every other major bowl and has provided probably one good semifinal game since it’s inception.
“Fickell is not trying to build a team, he’s trying to build a program. Once you start telling your players “we have to blow this team out” you are teaching your players that they are tied to the result. When you’re building a program you want them to be committed to the process”
You got employees who work for grocery stores busting their ass to make sure they have supplies for everybody but some of these sorry customers can't even put there buggy back into the return cart.
Such loser ass behavior.

HC Mike Norvell talking on players who transferred in this year, says they're all incredible leaders/people off the field, something they look for in transfers.
"We are not going to take someone that is a quick fix. We are building something, something special."
Past 4 years…
Week 1: Find a new way to lose in heart breaking fashion
Week 2: Piss around with a FCS team.
How are they not more tired of this than all of us are?
What has been arguably the Gators best season since 2012 will be remembered by a shoe being launched into orbit and getting Boat Raced by Oklahoma.
#itsgreattobe
Its one thing to get cooked on defense damn near every week.
But the cockiness to wave your finger after getting a PI and then dropping an sure-fire interception is just something that don't sit right with me as a man.
Like how are they so shitty and cocky at the same time?
I remember as a kid watching those Al Thornton teams and just wishing to see FSU basketball make the tournament.
Three consecutive Sweet 16's is excellent.
Coach Hamilton has a done an excellent job.
That was a program win and the difference between the team cultures (FSU compared to UF) was significant.
Our team culture took a complete 180 from when Norvell took over to now.
Don’t know how as an
#FSU
alum or fan you aren’t incredibly proud of that team. What they’ve endured, what they’ve heard. That’s a program win for Mike Norvell. There’s some really gritty kids that believe in a bigger mission. Undefeated.
I like Tom Brady, I like the Bucs, but It's gonna take awhile for me to get over how they mismanaged the franchise the past four seasons and used Jameis as a scapegoat.
FSU needs to win all four games left on its schedule and then win a bowl game, or else the Seminoles will have lost 6+ games in five consecutive seasons. Florida has never, and I mean NEVER, suffered that ignobility.
So yeah. Worry about your own dumpster fire of a program.
