If you’ve studied the priesthood ban, you’ve prob heard stories of the Ghanaian man who organized the church into many branches, begged the church to send missionaries/priesthood leaders to baptize the hundreds of converts & being denied, then hearing ab the revelation via radio.

The greatest mercy today was attending my ward in Iowa and seeing a black family who came and sat by me during sacrament & who told me after that they’ve been fasting and praying for me to be there after I bore my testimony of the complexities/difficulties of being black & LDS.

Looking at this Honor Code mess & im like huh? The HC office is saying that they’re answering questions on an individual, case-by-case basis? That’s not how institutional change works lol it’s not individual & it’s not “case-by-case” these administrators need a sociology class 🙃

We just spent an entire hour discussing Satan. Barely mentioning Christ. Then somehow the lesson turned into not believing the lies of Satan regarding the LGBTQ community bc God will never change his mind. Of course when I raise my hand to respond, the teacher closes the lesson😒

Look I’m not trying to start no twitter beef lol just that message rubbed me the wrong way bc I know so many boys/men are taught that if a girl isn’t interested that he should keep trying until she’ll somehow miraculously change her mind. Dassss harassment. Just my perception.
