Keys deputies stopped a weaving hatchback on US 1 only to discover the 2 Miami men inside had kidnapped a Key deer. They said they were taking the deer to a Miami vet because it was injured. They were at MM56. Both arrested. Deer is recovering. They are federally protected

A pal dropped by to meet Sergio. She handed me a gift bag, saying, “These aren’t new.” I looked in and immediately knew the toys had belonged to her bull terrier Archie who died last year. “These mean the world to me,” I told her. “These are everything.”

Pedro, my first boy, in 2014 in Key West. So he was about 7. He left this world better than he found it at age 13 in 2021. He was an affable lovebug with a lion-sized heart, feared rain, swam like a shark and barked at lawnmowers. He smiled endlessly. Rest, good boy.
