There is absolutely nothing wrong with using photo references even if you didn't take the photo. If its good enough for Araki drawing the iconic JoJo poses it should be good enough for you!

I've found it much easier to approach the task of working on things related to my webcomic as opposed to my comic project. My best guess is that the webcomic just feels less stressful so I have less startup apprehension!

I’ve had this idea floating in my head for a webcomic series published similar to how Homestuck was. Kinda like an online storybook. Plot would be 4 kids discovering a massive alien city beneath their small town and powers based around eyes. 2000s vibe, called Someplace Else.

He’s wrong in regards to Tolkien and Gandalf but in general what he said here stands true. When characters die and keep coming back it ruins all the tension of the story. If you look at many modern comics you’ll see this issue far too often.
