Active cases up from 149 to 1,149 since July 1. The @SDDOH is only doing "sentinel monitoring" for the Delta variant. Using national averages, there would be about 616 Delta infections in the state this week. The DoH reported 16. It's hard to overstate how irresponsible that is.

I came home from participating in a couple of segments on @ReliableSources on CNN only to find that South Dakota reported 42 more deaths today. The death toll is climbing fast. We were shocked when 202 people died in October. 394 have died in 22 days in November.
