I don't think the
#Packers
are going to win. But I am excited to have a QB who doesn't have baked in rules that prohibit him from throwing the ball to various regions of the field because "I'm smarter than you"
Titans don't let the Dolphins past midfield.
Barry leaves the barn, garage, side, and patio doors open for NY to waltz down the field.
Defense is 50% mentality based. GB's defensive mentality is "have whatever you want except deep shots over the top"
As a
@packers
fan, absolutely HATE to see this. We've had our share of neck injuries ruining/ending guys' careers (Sterling, Collins, Murphy, J-Mike to name a few) and would hate to see that happen to Hunter.
#Vikings
coach Mike Zimmer says star DE Danielle Hunter is in New York to get a second opinion.
Hunter has not played yet this season because of a herniated disk in his neck.
@DKalltheway
@andrewmertig
Yeah, the 2010 comparisons died in Wk1 when the team trailed by more than 1 score
People like to point to 2010, but the fact that team never trailed by more than 7 is one of the most insane sports stats of the last 20 years
@yummyceltics
@KeithSmithNBA
And Keith is absolutely right. It's pointless having the "ref expert" I'm any sport because they never go 100% against their fraternity
@packrfan4
@AaronNagler
@Vikings

"False Start" on Lucas
Jefferson getting away w 2 OPIs
No calls on MIN OL
Trying to give 17 that catch before half
Overturning Savage INT when he had hand under ball
@meingram1
@Peter_Bukowski
The part I think that's killing him is "Aaron, I simplified it by removing most of the presnap shifts/motion and you don't throw over the MOF where 70+% of the throws are designed to go"
This is all child's play for Love. And yeah, let's not act like these 3 distractions aren't predominantly there because of one of them.
But Love has handled just about everything thrown his way like a 10-year vet.
Jordan Love said potential distractions (Jaire suspension, Campbell frustration, Barry job status) aren’t affecting players: “I think we all know what’s in front of us going forward, what we gotta do to finish the season off to have a chance to make the playoffs.”
@bryanjoiner
That's part of the head coach's duties. As much as I like LaFleur as an offensive mind, his inability to identify and resolve his DC spot is inexcusable
Samori Toure, who lost his role on offense, just muffed a punt. The only way the Packers can lose is if they give this game away. Vikings ball at the 7.
@Peter_Bukowski
This is going to turn into a MASSIVE fingerpointing slog.
-Tampa will argue AB said he was cleared & go to go
-AB reps will state AB was pressured due to team playoff seeding & contract structure
@WoodsFootball
Because he both cares & doesn't care: he cares about the players & i don't think he really gives a shit what people say about him. He's willing to be the lightning rod if players benefit
You see those two tackles starting for GB in that game? Tom might be as good as one of em when fully healthy. Walker isn't as good as Daryn Colledge at this point.
Between the much more veteran WR corps and the OL situations, Rodgers had a much more seasoned group to work with
This was Aaron Rodgers in his first season as a starter. Yeah, his team went 6-10 but he wasn't the reason why. You could see the greatness year 1 as a starter.
Wicks does the most important thing here: he makes it look like he's the one getting interfered with and that action is what leads him into Doubs' man, not that Wicks is actively hunting the rub/pick
@jay_pea619
Really curious to see whether the physical beatings against MIL & MIA will galvanize the Celtics for the Finals or if it will leave them physically worn out
GS is gonna br a totally different beast. But Boston killing some demons of the past is big for this group
So impressed by how quickly the Michigan band starts playing Hail to the Victors after a touchdown.
It’s like instantaneous as the guy is crossing the goal line.
At this point, almost any FA signing is coming with some kind of disclaimer attached because that's why they're still unsigned at this point of the offseason
My biggest concern with Watkins is that'd be 2 WRs (him & Cobb) on roster you're just waiting on to have a bad soft tissue injury this season - Cobb had his CM/SH too late in the season
But he'd be the kind of band-aid solution they need to start the season. Him or Fuller
@Kameron841
@DaireCarragher
By King's luck, no, each of those throws would have been on the money...
...I'm not even sure if I'm being sarcastic or not...
No, interim DC's don't fix sides of the ball, especially in Wk17. But I have no fucking clue wtf you call that??
Barry basically daring LaFleur to fire him at this point
@Jared_Carrabis
Not even a million here: $600k. $600-freaking-thousand-dollars. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You're a US Professional franchise and you're basically showing your superstar the door a year early by pulling this crap.
Hey
@KenIngalls
, what does a potential Davante extension look like if we account for keeping 22 cap hit low but also him matching or exceeding the Hopkins number?
I know GB doesn't want to go there, but they did with Bakh (beating Tunsil's outlier deal)
First it was Myers being called for legally looking for a snap leg kick, now Yosh gets the phantom call (I don't think JRJ was offsides either with how refs let DL line up across the neutral zone). Packers had something going but more ref show bullshit
It could lead to 7 INTs. But using the whole field to attack what is still a tough and physical SF defense could be the difference between having a chance and being roadkill on Saturday.
@SnottieDrippen
Hakeem did it during freaking Ramadan!!! Just wild! I know he was like 30lbs lighter than JoJo but he was just another class of athlete. And those two Finals runs where he set the world on fire were his age 31 & 32 seasons!
@zachkruse2
Yeah I did too. Right now it's ~$8.8M. So you take out the ~$2.9M for the prorate & Gute/RB are still rolling over ~$6M. Add in the $12.5M for trimming the fat off the roster and that's almost $20M more to add to the 2020 cap.
@zachkruse2
I think as the numbers stand now per OTC, that number will be well over $50M, closer to $60M when you account for whatever roll over from this year & cutting Graham/Taylor.
For all those wondering why GB has put so much $$ & effort into the Titletown District, THIS is why. GB will probably never host a Super Bowl, but having the ability to host a draft is HUGE
