Our awesome judges finished Round 1 of voting last week & I just sent off links to vote in Round 2! #KidsChoiceKidLitWritingContest 36 PB & 19 MG entries moved on to round 2. YA is going straight into the finals! On March 2nd, I will announce the finalists in all categories!

Some days, I read my WIPs and think "Yes! This is awesome. I'm TOTALLY gonna land an agent." And then the next day it's "this is all crap, why do I even write???" And I'm pretty sure that's an important part of the process. #kidlit

PSA-- I learned through the #KidsChocieKidLitWritingContest that Google Docs and Microsoft Word count words differently... so be VERY careful when submitting to a contest with word count limits that you know for sure how many words your entry is.
