Oh sweet Charles. At one point doctors told us we could increase James' chances of survival if we killed Charles. James seems pretty happy that option was never on the table for us. 💙💙

I got to hold my babies. It's weird having to ask permission. It's shocking how tiny they feel in your arms. They are hooked up to what seems like 100 different cords, so you hold so still. They are perfect. Life is such a gift.

What a difference one week can make. This is Charles. Both boys are off CPAP/Oxygen, and are tentatively done with IVs. They are taking a break from the "tanning beds" and are gaining weight! Still eating via feeding tube. Their progress, so far, has been "identical" 😉

Due to some complications we weren't able to hold James yesterday or all day today. My heart was slowly breaking. Right before we had to leave for the night the opportunity opened up to hold him. If souls can take a deep breath, mine just did. #NICU #teamcolemantwins

WE DID IT! Final bumpdate before the boys arrive. We made it to our "2nd best case scenario" of 32 weeks. This marks 8 weeks of being in on-again-off-again early labor. Nervous & excited to bring the boys earthside & get them the help they need in the NICU. #teamcolemantwins

These little guys have only been home a few days, but are already 1 month old. Their 1st month of life was a wild ride, spent weaning them off countless interventions until we were finally able to hold them without any wires, IVs, tubes, breathing machinesc, etc. Love you, boys.
