This is absolutely true. When I was a part-time public defender in Saline Co. Arkansas they decided to crack down on truancy. All it did was drag a bunch of poor people in who were barely making it causing them to miss work and put even more strain on their family. It sucked.

Prior to this motion, Adnan had phenomenal legal help. They just couldn't quite get there. @CJBrownLaw convinced a circuit judge in Baltimore to vacate Sayed's conviction in 2016 based on the trial lawyer's failure to challenge cell tower location evidence.
