we should understand capitalism as fundamentally a project of trading other people’s hours & years & life force for profit, and recognize that crises that are no more (and no less) than expressions of this capitalist dynamic cannot be resolved without moving beyond capitalism

Ontario just announced a reopening of ALL RETAIL in grey "lockdown" zones while the hyper-contagious variants are here, COVID is airborne, & retail workers aren't guaranteed respirator masks. minimum wage frozen, no paid sick days. this is vicious class war.

it is literally countercultural today to rapid-test routinely before gathering indoors unmasked, or to mask outdoors in crowded places, or for an event to urge attendees to wear specifically N95+ masks and maybe even provide them. we should defend & expand that counterculture
