Beyond honored to say I won four Keystone Media Awards this year, always an amazing feeling when you're recognized in your profession by fellow journalists.
What’s the dumbest freak injury of your life? I’ll start: Took a leak then somehow broke my goddamn index finger when I caught it on the door facing while leaving the bathroom.
That’s incredibly stupid but I know some of you can defeat me. Go.
@AyeshaLovesIggy
@IGGYAZALEA
I think it's awesome too that all Iggy fans are like so nice with one another and supportive, you know? Like Azaleans are their own little group together haha. Btw here's a pic from the call I took!
I've been able to see
@IGGYAZALEA
perform live twice now, 2019 in NYC and today in Hershey. Never will understand the hate Iggy gets because she always puts on an amazing show.
So as I left game I saw Shik water girl (who has special needs) was crying with some players outside. I found out later that some members of Shore student section were making fun of her. That's definitely over the line, absolutely no reason to make fun of someone like that.
Just found out today that the Sun-Gazette sports section won an Associated Press Sports Editor award for the 12th consecutive year. Glad
@docmasse
and I can put together great sections in addition to photos by
@SlotRacer13
and others. We have a talented group who love this job.
Lewisburg's Ben Liscum will play at Penn State this fall. But before he wears blue and white, he will play one more time representing Lewisburg as he was named to the High School All-American East team:

South Williamsport's Ella Moore scores inside 18 to right post and South beats Southern here tonight 3-2 in double overtime. What a game. South wins it's first District 4 championship since 2006.
South Williamsport's Olivia Dorner beats Villa Maria Academy's Tara Thomas 6-0, 6-1 to win Class AA state title. Dorner is first District 4 girls player to ever win a state championship
South grad Katie Jones tied the Penn State school record height in the pole vault as she topped her own personal best and cleared 13 feet, 6 1/4 inches at Big Ten Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Previous best was 13-5 3/4. Jones finished 6th.

So a bit of news: I've been named the new sports editor at the Williamsport Sun-Gazette, replacing
@benbrigandisg
. Glad I was able to work alongside Ben for as long as I did. I'm looking forward to the new role and keeping this section an award-winning section though.
Fun stat I stumbled upon getting all final stats sent in and whatnot: Loyalsock's Rhiallie Jessell ended her career with 64 goals, and 20 of those were game-winning goals.
Summer McNulty had a career-high 28 points as Loyalsock defeated Trinity in first round of state playoffs, 53-51. Sam Stopper scored 13 and both Rhiallie Jessell and Sarah Van Fleet scored 6 points each.
@IGGYAZALEA
I think that would world really well to have a some visualizers, and maybe a full-blown music video for one or two of the main singles. Maybe one visualizer for each section?
Montoursville grad and former St. Francis star Tesa McKibben is set to join the Lycoming College women’s soccer team’s staff as an assistant coach. Great addition for Lycoming having one of the area's best soccer players.
South girls lost to Bloomsburg 3-0 to end their season. Haley Neidig ended with 34 goals this year. The only other players in South history to have 30 or more goals in a season? Christa Matlack and Kaitlyn Bower. Not bad company to be in.
Shoutout to the caller who left a voicemail for me saying that "your sports section really sucks" because we run local sports and not a ton of national stuff. Sir, we're a local newspaper, of course we run local sports, and we take a lot of pride in that.
Last player I saw who could put in a goal from as far as Rieppel did in first half tonight was former Lewisburg standout and one-time Sun-Gazette Player of the Year Chloe Michaels. Rieppel put it perfectly to right post.
The area all-decade girls soccer team. Read my story in today's edition (link tweeted earlier) to read more about each selection and also the list of honorable mention selections.

We were all putting our book covers on in class & all of a sudden we see him stand up & he runs out the door fast. Kid sitting next to him is like "He said he had to go to nurse bc he broke his thumb" Honestly I have no idea how he actually did it. It's borderline impressive
Just saw someone on our Facebook page posted that "it's about time" South girls get coverage in paper. Uhh lady you mean like how we've had coverage of every game at states, regionals and LLWS and I wrote 7 features on them?
South Williamsport is headed to the World Series in Portland, Ore. What a run this summer for South. They have yet to lose a game through districts, sectionals, states and regionals
Final: Pennsylvania 3, Connecticut 2
Pennsylvania (4-0) goes undefeated here during an impressive run at the East Regional and advances to the Little League Softball World Series
Connecticut (3-2) scratched and clawed all day but came up short
Longtime Lycoming coach Frank Girardi will have his name on the school's football stadium. Lycoming held a press conference as president Kent Trachte (right) announced the stadium will be named Girardi Stadium. The official dedication will be on Sept. 9, 2023.
South's Ella Moore broke the school record this year for most goals scored in a season by a freshman, surpassing the mark of Lela Warner in 2015 (27). Moore currently at 35 and counting.

Lewisburg has a lot of tradition in boys soccer & next fall, you'll see a 4th star on the team's crest to signify the team's 4th title it won today. Winning it gave the team a lot to celebrate about this afternoon, especially capping an undefeated season:
South Williamsport's Haley Neidig was an extremely versatile player, easily being able to play defender, midfielder or forward. Now, she'll be continuing her career at Pitt-Johnstown and bringing that versatility with her:
South's Olivia Dorner made history by winning the Class AA state title Saturday in Hershey and became the first District 4 girls tennis player to do so. She played in state semis and final the same way she did throughout the season: dominance.
I have to say I'm not entirely sure what part of my Skype call last night with
@IGGYAZALEA
was my favorite, but her telling me my custom guitar was epic was pretty awesome.
When I was a student at LHU, they won three games my four years there (2006-10). It's pretty cool seeing my alma mater having success this year in football and closing in on their first winning season in 42 years if they win on Saturday.
FB:
@LHU_Football
eyes a chance to secure the program’s first winning season in 42 years as it welcomes Edinboro University to The Jack on Saturday‼️
Saturday is Senior Day and Veterans Appreciation Day❗️🦅🇺🇸
