Actors, try and talk to people on an agencies books to get a real insight into how they manage their clients. We’ll all have different perspectives and ways of working — it needs to be the right space for you. Research before you sign and don’t be afraid to ask lots of questions.

Quick tweet to say that I don’t mind the extra admin of self-tapes. At all. In fact I relish it. It’s been the biggest silver lining of the pandemic for our industry in terms of levelling the field and providing opportunities to actors based outside of the London bubble.

This kid! One of my first ever jobs was booking Inathi on a Gillette TVC in 2019 and since then it’s been a ride. Campaigns, films, Biff & Chip and now WATERLOO ROAD. The prep, talent and dedication he has shown along the way is admirable and I am so proud. 10 years old! Amazing.

I’ve got a BTEC in Performing Arts. I quit A Levels bc I zone out when people are talking at me and needed to be creative. If I didn’t have that option I would’ve continued missing lectures and undoubtedly failed. Stop assessing everyone’s potential by the same boring standards!

Govt consultation on BTEC reforms seeks to DROP Performing Arts as a qualification. A huge barrier to working class/“non academic” kids accessing not only careers in the arts but also the confidence and perspective drama education provides. It’s unacceptable and needs protesting.

Posted this everywhere because a) it’s great and b) I need to read it over and over. Everyone is desperately trying to remain creative and positive which is fantastic — but also anxiety inducing. It’s okay to rest! Look after yourselves. You can’t pour from an empty cup. x

So much of my job is made up of relentless suggesting and promoting our fabulous talent and sometimes it can feel like shouting into the void BUT when it all starts paying off with a flurry of pencils and confirmations it makes it SO WORTH IT 😍😍😍 #FridayFeeling #ReapWhatYouSow
