Moments ago,
@JohnKennedyMP
graciously called to offer me congratulations on the Hawthorn result. I pay tribute to John for representing our community over the last four years in Parliament; and I warmly acknowledge his dedication and work for the people of this electorate. JP
If a company threatened an employee with dismissal for making or supporting an Ombudsman/IBAC referral, it would likely be an offence. ALP caucus rules mandating or threatening expulsion in such a case may or may not offend the law, but they offend the principles of integrity. JP
John Pesutto and I have disagreed about almost everything for the last 4 years. But he has always maintained a personal civility and decency that I admire, and have appreciated. If he has been defeated in Hawthorn it’s a great loss to the Liberal Party.
The Andrews Government’s decision to scrap the 2026 Commonwealth Games is a massive humiliation for Victoria.
This decision is a betrayal of regional Victoria and confirms that Victoria is broke and Labor simply cannot manage major projects without huge cost blowouts. JP
It was humbling to attend today’s declaration of the Hawthorn poll. I’m grateful to the people of Hawthorn for the honour of representing them in Parliament. It was also a pleasure to exchange gifts with my friend and colleague,
@JohnKennedyMP

The reality is Daniel Andrews is leaving now because things are falling apart in Victoria and he knows it.
Under Daniel Andrews, Victoria is broke and life has got harder for every Victorian. JP

On the
@WorkSafe_Vic
decision to prosecute only the DoH over hotel quarantine, just for context, here's what the Government said in October 2019 about the accountability of individual officers (eg, senior officials and directors) under its own workplace manslaughter bill. JP
Today we witnessed a dark day for democracy in Victoria.
Today former IBAC Commissioner and highly-respected former Supreme Court judge Robert Redlich gave scathing evidence to the Vic Parliament’s Integrity and Oversight Committee about Premier Andrews and his misconduct.
The Hotel Quarantine Inquiry must be reopened with witnesses being recalled and the forensic rigour conspicuously missing from the initial hearings on full display. Each concession, after stubborn and emphatic denials, betrays a collective and tacit effort to hide the truth. JP
The reports on corruption in the Andrews Government continue to grow. How much longer can the Premier continue? Because you can’t be the problem and also be the solution. JP
Daniel Andrews’ story about the Commonwealth Games is unravelling.
He can’t remember the lies he’s told.
The Games were a con job.
He says the buck stops with him but he’s now throwing public servants under the bus. JP
We have asked the Victorian Auditor General’s Office for an urgent investigation to reveal the true extent of costs incurred by taxpayers as a result of the cancellation of the 2026 Commonwealth Games. JP
Victoria's decision to cancel the 2026 Commonwealth Games could cost taxpayers a billion dollars.
Confronted by protesters, the Premier says the number is still being negotiated, as officials in London came out swinging.

Imagine what the Andrews Government could’ve spent $380 million on.
Fixing our health system, repairing our roads and addressing our teacher shortage crisis.
Instead, Daniel Andrews and Jacinta Allan torch taxpayers’ money.
No wonder Victoria is broke under Labor. JP
As the Minister for Major Projects and the Commonwealth Games, Jacinta Allan torched billions of dollars of taxpayers’ money.
She simply can’t be trusted with money. JP
Victorians are owed the truth about the Commonwealth Games debacle.
Daniel Andrews and Jacinta Allan must appear before the upcoming inquiry and tell Victorians the true cost of this debacle. JP
There are two certainties in life under the Andrews Government - debt and taxes.
Labor will introduce a new tax on short stay accomodation in Victoria.
It will be the 50th new or increased tax under the Andrews Government but Victorians won’t be celebrating.
JP
I have referred Labor’s appointment of Jeroen Weimar to the Victorian Ombudsman for investigation. Victoria’s housing crisis is too important to gift plum, $500,000 jobs to mates. JP
I condemn the unprovoked acts of violence by Hamas against Israel that have seen innocent civilians lose their lives or suffer serious harm. Israel has the right to defend itself and deter such aggression in the future. Our thoughts and support are with our Jewish community. JP
Day seven of the Commonwealth Games scandal and neither Daniel Andrews nor Jacinta Allan has taken responsibility or apologised.
But the scandal continues to make headlines. JP
A must read about the crucial things we won’t ever see about the way we are being governed in Victoria without genuine accountability, transparency, scrutiny and probity. JP
Victoria is a proudly multicultural state renowned for its diversity and harmony. The ugly scenes we have witnessed tonight are unacceptable. There is no place for anti-semitism, Islamophobia, prejudice or hatred in our state. JP
I was proud to stand with Cindy McLeish alongside other Liberal and Nationals colleagues after the Premier’s unacceptable abuse of her in Parliament today. JP
That's actually correct. Novak Djokovic qualifies under the "I'm a celebrity get me in here" exemption that the Andrews Government has championed so well throughout the pandemic. JP
Wow...just wow. As if on a plane in a nose dive, the Andrews Government has just thrown two thirds of its own project out the door presumably to maintain altitude as its "case" collapses. All in the face of mounting scrutiny. Unbelievable. JP
The Andrews government has declared the first section of the Suburban Rail Loop should be built, regardless of whether future governments decide to complete the rest of the mammoth project | Exclusive |

Jacinta Allan must explain what involvement she had in securing a new job for an individual so deeply involved in Victoria’s Commonwealth Games debacle. JP
Following the passing of an Upper House motion, Premier Jacinta Allan must do the right thing and appear before the Select Committee into the Commonwealth Games debacle. Come clean and tell the truth. JP

I'm delighted to introduce our new Shadow Cabinet team to deliver a fresh vision for Victoria.
We are focused on issues important to Victorians including cost of living, health, education and ensuring we fix the state's finances, and restore integrity to government. JP
Victorians will pay at least $380 million for a Commonwealth Games that will never happen in a debacle that has damaged Victoria’s reputation internationally.
No wonder Victoria is broke. JP

So many questions remain unanswered about Jacinta Allan’s $600 million Commonwealth Games debacle. Yet the Premier still refuses to front the inquiry.
How did we end up here? JP
Speaking to media today about the disgraceful rise in anti-Semitism we are seeing at schools, universities and the broader community.
This shameful conduct has no place in our state and requires the full efforts of government and law enforcement to stamp out.
Under Jacinta Allan, Victoria is broke. Labor can’t manage money and all Victorians are paying the price.
My column in today’s Herald Sun on why Victorians deserve better. JP
We are running a positive campaign in Hawthorn. People are looking for community leaders who raise the bar of politics, not drag it into the gutter.
To those responsible - turn yourself in with a full and frank confession, including others involved. JP

The dire state of Victoria’s finances are only worsening under Jacinta Allan.
Labor’s nine-year trend of cost blowouts, greater debt and higher taxes is going from bad to worse under her leadership. JP

As somebody who proudly grew up in Traralgon, I know how important it is to connect with all Victorians.
And what about some of those old photos 😉 JP.
Every Victorian pays for Labor’s rampant corruption of our public service through higher taxes and reduced service delivery.
It’s time to clean up Victoria. JP
One of the biggest issues in the Mulgrave by-election will be Labor’s unfair Health Tax which will drive up the cost of visiting a doctor.
Grace Sia, who operates a medical centre in Mulgrave, explains the impact of this tax.
Vote Liberal on November 18. JP
It’s time to clean up Victoria. My piece in today’s Herald Sun on the Ombudsman’s damning report on the politicisation of the public service under Jacinta Allan and Daniel Andrews. JP
Today's release of the Commonwealth Infrastructure Review is confirmation that major projects in Victoria under Jacinta Allan are in disarray.
She can’t manage money and she can’t manage major projects. JP
A fantastic turnout to support the campaign launch for our Liberal candidate in the Mulgrave by-election Courtney Mann.
Courtney grew up in Mulgrave and is passionate about the electorate after years of Labor neglect.
Vote for Courtney on November 18. JP

The Commonwealth Games, the SEC, Melbourne Airport Rail, Geelong Fast Rail… Jacinta Allan’s broken promises continue and it’s Victorians who suffer. JP

A proud day for Nicole Werner and her parents Peter and Belinda as she was sworn into Parliament. Wishing Nicole all the best for a great parliamentary career ahead. JP
Victorians, we love our sport.
But we shouldn’t be playing a game with the health of our athletes.
The Andrews Government needs to come clean about the contaminated soil at the Ballarat Saleyard, the location for the athletes village for the 2026 Commonwealth Games. JP
To the students, parents and teachers at our independent schools: the Liberals and Nationals are fighting against the Andrews Government’s unfair schools tax. We will repeal it. And we’ll fight as hard for our government schools as well. JP

An excerpt of my media conference this week on the latest corruption scandal engulfing the Andrews Government and why the Premier should now seriously consider his position.
Because you can’t be the solution if you’re also the problem. JP
There’s nothing quite like election day. Today I was out early at the polling booths to support our fantastic candidate for Warrandyte Nicole Werner. A big thank you to everyone who helped out! JP
The Victorian Liberal Party has announced it will be fielding a candidate in the upcoming Mulgrave byelection on November 18.
There is a better way in Victoria. That's why we're giving the people of Mulgrave the choice. JP
Proud to stand alongside our hardworking Candidate for Warrandyte, Nicole Werner, and her parents, Belinda and Peter, who have dedicated countless hours to her campaign. A great family. JP
The behaviour of Labor MPs today tells us that not only is the Andrews Government corrupt, but it will stoop to any level to stop people uncovering the truth.
If you stand up in Victoria and do the right thing Mr Andrews and his Government will attack you and try to silence you.
The scariest thing this Halloween is the way Jacinta Allan & Tim Pallas run our tax system.
The Treasurer says he will bail medical practices out of Labor’s unfair Health Tax if they become insolvent.
Confirmation by Labor that its record taxes are sending Victorians broke. JP
Today we also saw Daniel Andrews’ Labor minions shamelessly try to discredit Mr Redlich and silence him in a bid to cover up corruption in the Government.
Their actions should appal all Victorians who care about good government and the reputation of our state.
In an op-ed for the

Today the State Opposition hosted a meeting of GPs from across the state to hear about the impact Labor’s new Health Tax will have on Victorians.
Labor’s Health Tax will ultimately flow through to higher out-of-pocket costs for patients and will mean fewer bulk billing clinics.
This says it all - and it’s from one of Daniel Andrews’ Labor colleagues:
“This must be stopped. Everyone knows that Andrews has messed up law and order in Victoria. He can’t now be allowed to mess up national security as well,” a senior Labor MP said.
With the energy, colour & joy behind today’s Lunar New celebrations, we can be so proud of the profound contribution our Chinese community has made to Victoria & Australia. Thanks Eng Lim & Danny Doon for hosting Trung Luu MP & I at the Chinese Museum. Happy Lunar New Year. JP 🙏
We need strong institutions in Victoria, such as IBAC, to stand up to powerful forces and protect the rights of the Victorian people.
We need a Government that is held to account, not a gang of thugs trying to attack people for doing their jobs.
