I was never going to be fast enough to finish at the top of my age groups - so the only path to qualifying for Ironman World Championship on Kona - is to finish 12 IM 140 mi races - then they waive you in. I accomplished that bucket list dream tonight. Thanks to all who helped

10 yrs ago today- Brianna suffered a fractured skull, tibia, fibula, wrist when hit by a car on Hurstbourne. 10 yrs later- she just wrapped up 1st yr of med school with A’s and a B+. So thankful for the doctors who saved her & motivated her to be just like them & proud of my girl

Ironman finish #13 x 140.6 = 1,827 race miles covered. When I think of the months of pain I suffered thru, still dealing with, #13 is unfathomable. Grateful to God, surgeon, PTs & family. That saying about happiness is found by getting out of your comfort zone - is true.

August is always musky time- so I fished for 2 hrs with my heavy musky gear. Nothing. Then I switched to light spinning gear for walleye & 3 casts in- a musky swooped in. Fishing is so unpredictable. And awesome.
