Trubisky vs Detroit was special. As was Trubisky vs Tampa Bay. But today, at least for me, was different and may have been his best game. The drops, the bad play calling, getting out of pressure situations, behind the sticks consistently. #10 nutted up and won this game.

If Trubisky were playing for another team and Bears fans watched him, their opinions would be less forgiving/optimistic. You have to separate emotion from evaluation. Only fair way to do it. I'm rooting for Trubisky to turn this around. He's capable. We saw it last year.

If Leno doesn't get back to form and Long isn't replaced, Bears offense will continue sputtering. Trubisky has to level up. Nagy's play calling needs improvement. True. 72 and 75 though make things a lot harder than they need to be. Good units (usually) have strong fronts.

Trubisky made 2 egregious mistakes. 1 hurt him, 1 he got away with. Other than that? Solid performance. Especially in the 2nd Half. Ran the offense, easy throws. And once again he nutted up late with a big clutch drive to eat clock before Robinson fumbled.

@DanDeYoungFB Trubisky can whiteboard it. He can tell you what he's seeing pre snap...identify man vs zone/coverages. Once the ball is in play he can't rewire because he doesn't have instincts. All he knows is what he's been coached to do. He's a robot which a tendency to short circuit.

Pace assembled one of the best rosters in the league. Top to bottom. Free agency, draft, trade. The rebuild came down to his QB evaluation. He failed. Should he get another shot? Yep. Should we question whether he can find the right guy given Trubisky/Glennon? Yep.

Fields literally can't see the field. Guys come wide open within line of sight and he either misses it or doesn't pull the trigger. Even when he has time to throw....he's incapable of hitting it on time. That's not coaching. He's just a really, really bad passer/processor.

Eyes downfield the entire time. Why doesn't he do this consistently? Trubisky has 2nd chance mentality right now. Think of it like an off reb. Reload, buy time and look for some chaos/secondary action opportunities. Instead he usually panics, drops his eyes, tucks n runs.

Here is Mitch Trubisky's big play from Sunday. He doesn't panic and does an excellent job of keeping his eyes downfield. Allen Robinson also does a great job of finding space and settling. This was an all around clutch play by the Chicago Bears offense. #Bears

My buddy texted me this about Pace. KC is living off grand slams (Mahomes, Hill. Jones damn good too. Plus Hunt before they released him). Pace's misses are more exposed because of Trubisky. Good QBs elevate the roster and hide holes.

Trubisky Thread Week 15: Best game of the year. Not the flashiest, but most consistent/impressive given high pressure situation(s). 1st drive. Trubisky sticks a short throw to Robinson. Placement/timing key. Inside and/or late, picked. Early sign he was on.

"Trubisky is exposing Nagy." I mean, I guess. I'm not a huge Nagy fan as a play caller but Trubisky is running scripted pass schemes, mostly single read vs soft zone coverages. And the Bears can't tackle or generate a pass rush :shrug: That spin out to the left was nice tho.
