Since Steve Kerr is Team USA coach, there's obviously some Warriors sets transferred over to the national team.
One of which occurred during their scrimmage vs. the select team -- and triggered by someone yelling out "What the f***", a staple sideline out-of-bounds (SLOB) set.

Been re-watching the playoffs and I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but...
Watch Steph Curry do the Night Night "playcall" directed toward the bench, before he attacks Jokić in spread PnR and scores -- after which he does the Night Night again.
Psycho stuff man lmao
Something interesting before Steph Curry's clutch floater.
CP3 was calling over Draymond and had him be the inbounder. Why? Probably because with CP as the release valve instead of Draymond, the Kings couldn't double off of him (and to force the switch onto Monk).
Result:
Luka Dončić is truly special.
The Wolves tried everything, and I mean EVERYTHING:
1. Drop
2. Up to the level of the screen
3. Switching
4. Hedge and recover
5. Blitzing
And it didn't matter. Luka had an answer for every one of them.
Kyrie telling DJJ to clear to the opposite corner to improve the spacing. Luka sees Ant just hovering around for no reason which means Conley is on an island vs. 2 guys. Immediately whips the pass to Kyrie, extra swing to PJ for the three.
Ant caught sleeping.
The still-as-of-this-moment nameless 5-man lineup of Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, and Draymond Green:
- 11 minutes
- plus-29
- 204.3 ORTG
- 75.0 DRTG
- 129.3 Net Rating
Something I noticed upon re-watch.
1st clip: Steve Kerr calling for “HORNS Twist.” For some reason, James Wiseman doesn’t seem to get into the action w/ much force or urgency.
2nd clip: What “HORNS Twist” should look like.
So, did the Wolves adjust and do something new defensively to take Game 6?
Yes and no (a quick thread).
First, the old stuff: They simply went back to what worked in their wins and eliminated the kinks in execution.
Doubling from the top vs. Jokić and rotating/bumping behind
Maybe it’s just me, but seeing takes of how “Jayson Tatum choked” and “Celtics shot themselves in the foot” blatantly ignores the absolutely elite defense that the Warriors played on a good player and good team.
Nuggets have made a crucial adjustment to the Wolves' tactic of having KAT stay on Jokić whenever he rolls.
Watch Christian Braun. He sets an initial screen ("ram" screen) on KAT to delay him from the ball-screen action. When Jokić sets the screen, KAT is forced to step up to

's teaser talked about the most common "BOB" (or BLOB) action in the NBA: the pick-the-picker or screen-the-screener set.
So I decided to use the Warriors' favorite pick-the-picker set ("Rub") to demonstrate what they were talking about.
Would not doubt
"Not having Klay still hasn’t really sunk in... We’ve been doing it for 13 years together… I have this idea that in October [he'll come back]... I know that’s not happening.”
Steph Curry on not having Klay Thompson as a teammate 🗣️

Like, dude's obviously talented and when he makes the right plays, he looks spectacular.
But he eventually cancels them out with some boneheaded plays. And he's supposed to be an experienced senior!!! Lmaooooo
Warriors just got Dario Šarić, so you bet your ass I did an initial film watch.
Three things that stood out:
1. Synergy w/ Chris Paul on PnPs and PnRs
2. The floor stretching
3. Versatility as a passer
Quick thread hitting the notes above:
Warriors vs. Celtics is gonna be a clash between two absolute titans of the game. Two players who are both unstoppable forces and immovable objects at the same time. Institutions of their respective franchise.
I cannot wait for Kevon Looney vs. Al Horford.
Filling GP2's shoes was always gonna be extremely hard. A bonafide elite perimeter stopper who could switch up. An excellent screener and dive man. Most of all, a fan favorite and beloved by all of Dub Nation.
I gotta say though... Donte's done one hell of a job filling the void
