The Sabres have
A Norris candidate (Dahlin)
A Hart candidate (Thompson)
3 potential Calder candidates (Power, Quinn, and Peterka)
4 points out of the playoffs with 2 games in hand. Let’s break this drought!

A couple of win/wins and a robbery
- trade Olofsson
- waive/trade/ buyout Bryson
- Clague should be your 8th or 9th D, not 6th
- Comrie should be in a tandem with Levi in Rochester
- You can do better than Jokiharju in the top 4
- Give Okposo a front office job
- Let Zemgus find greener pastures
How to make the playoffs next season
1. Don’t go on an 8 game losing streak
2. Don’t lose 10 of your meaningful games in March
They should be in THIS YEAR
Sabres Director of Ameteur Scouting Jerry Forton has to stop and gather himself while responding to a question from
@MatthewFairburn
on GM Kevyn Adams.
"He's done an incredible job at bringing this entire organization together."

Is he a 1C? Nope, but he’s far from the problem and he’s just fine
A Stanley Cup contending team in the making no doubt
- 91 points and was a win away from playoffs
- They have a GREAT young core
- Salary cap situation is great
- Culture has turned around
- 2 elite prospects still on the way
- They finally found a good goalie
It’s coming!
I feel like we’re days away from the Kevyn Adams’ version of Jason Botterill’s 5th round pick for Scott Wilson trade to show that there’s a pulse in the front office
Kevyn Adams offszn checklist
- Sign Levi and Johnson
- Draft RHD David Reinbacher
- Trade Olofsson, promote Kulich or Savoie
- Demote Clague Bryson Comrie
- Sign Jarry/Andersen/Varlamov in UFA
- Get a better partner for Power
None of this is unreasonable or rushing the rebuild
This is great
Leaf fans are turning on Babcock, Nylander is about to get run out of town, and that’s three first round exits in a row. Have to pay Marner and Matthews next year with no leftover cap space to build a defense or sign their other RFAs
If the Sabres don’t make the playoffs this year and the only thing we hear is that the group will be another year older and some prospects will graduate to the NHL roster again, that’s just not good enough for me
Time to win is right now
Assuming the Sabres win tonight and the Oilers beat Washington tomorrow
Going into Thursday’s game against the Islanders…
TBL 74 pts
DET 72 pts

NYI 72 pts
WSH 69 pts
BUF 67 pts
NJD 66 pts
Imagine if the Sabres can somehow clinch a playoff spot on fan appreciation night against Ottawa. That atmosphere would be unlike anything I’ve ever seen
With Power signed, the Sabres as of now will have roughly $26.4 mil in cap space with the following signed already for next season
Skinner - Thompson - Tuch
Peterka - Cozens - Quinn
Greenway - X - Benson
X - X - X
Samuelsson - Dahlin
Power - X
X - Clifton
Levi
X
Maximum points for the wildcard race
FLA 95 - 3 games left
NYI 95 - 3 games left
PIT 94 - 2 games left
BUF 93 - 4 games left
They have to win out and hope they they get a little help along the way.
Accepting a clown show head coach because he’s better than what you had during the 17 year drought is just ridiculous logic
You’re wasting Josh Allen’s prime years
We’re only 17 days away from seeing the Sabres announce that they’ve relieved Don Granato, Matt Ellis, Jason Christie, and Marty Wilford of their coaching duties 🤞🏻
If we look back on the Eichel, Reinhart, and Ristolainen trades, I think the vast majority of Sabres fans would give all 3 an A grade. Lots of pressure was on Adams to do well in these, especially the Eichel trade but he did very well. AND there are still 2 2nds coming in 2023
It’s really easy to get discouraged with the Sabres tail spinning into what looks to be another bottom 8 finish but I just keep telling myself that Krebs, Quinn, Power, Peterka, Levi, and 3 2022 first round picks are on the way who will hopefully end this misery
Devon Levi isn’t going to develop into what everyone wants him to become if he’s not playing games
Just let him cook in Rochester. Comrie can ride the bench in Buffalo
Man, if the Sabres win today and tomorrow, they would’ve just needed one more win over the course of this season to be a playoff team. As much as a successful season this was, that really hurts
