Football isn't dead. Top level football is dead. In fact, it's that dead it's now now a pile of skeletal remains. The game is very much alive around the corner from your house at your local non-league club. If you're fed up, go and get behind them.
@GaryLineker
You signed up for BT Sport who outbid free to air ITV for Champions League coverage. Fans struggle to watch European football now and you're part of the problem. You'd snap up the chance to present on this, too.
In the final minute of the match, he decided to run up for a corner despite not being able to walk or kick a ball and his side being 3-1 down. We scratched our heads and breathed a sigh of relief. Football was back.
While a couple of buckets of sand were thrown on top of the tree root, the Copmanthorpe squad retreated for a team talk and a few members of the team decided to have a smoke.
Clubs up and down the nation, working their bollocks off ensuring fans are allowed into grounds safely, to keep our game going at the lowest level. Then you get these idiots at

ruining it. Well done, well done indeed.
The goalkeeper had it explained to him that if he'd have dived the right way for the penalty, he would have avoided the tree trunk and injury. Play resumed and he soldiered on for the second half.
I work with 30 women. I'm the only bloke. I think we should ban talk of pregnancy, periods, weight loss schemes and Netflix because I could feel 'left out' 🤷♀️
"I once travelled to FC Peterborough. Upon arriving I found the match was on the training pitch next to the main pitch. I asked the club and the referee to move the match to the main pitch so I could tick it off and they agreed."

The mayor offers his views, saying that if Liverpool won the league fans would gather outside Anfield to celebrate. He's purely speaking fact and you've hung him out to dry on social media. Well played.
I see children on a daily basis who haven't had breakfast. We provide it. I encourage children to have "one more potato" at lunch time as I'm genuinely concerned they'll go home and not eat until they come in the next day. Men like this are horrible and just don't get it.
Brendan Clarke-Smith(Tory MP) - “I do not believe in nationalising children. We need to get back to the idea of taking responsibility. This means less celebrity virtue signalling on Twitter by proxy"

Moving from a brand based in Yorkshire and handing business and money over to a German company is poor. The English Football League should do its utmost to support English companies.
Remember when teachers kept being told that children couldn't catch or spread covid and were told to crack on working in packed classrooms? Teachers died as a result and this man is at fault.
"The spread amongst children does have an impact on others.”
Health Secretary Matt Hancock addresses the effect of the virus on children and explains that there are “plenty of good reasons” to vaccinate young people.

Play halted here at Grimethorpe v Worsbrough Bridge as two very large and angry dogs break free from a car next to the pitch and chase after the home sides central defender. Still 2-2.
Anyway, another five years of teachers buying their own glue sticks, paper for worksheets and countless other things to create even the most basic of lessons. And if you think that doesn't happen, yes it does.
The Duncombe Park substitute, who had been linesman this half, returned with a rolled up offcut of kitchen lino. With a 'abstract' design, it was placed face down in the penalty area over the tree root.
Here was the scene when 100 groundhoppers were gathered together to be informed the next match on the hop had been postponed. There were tears, thermos flasks and programmes flying everywhere.
94 year old Eric Lancaster. Started down the pits when he was 14. Travels home and away. Always has a laugh and had a good old 'dance' in the clubhouse after today's match at Workington. Only a few years ago he cycled to our away match at Ossett 👍🏻 I'm in awe of him every game!

While the rest of the country are hard at work and cracking on, in London there's currently grown men and women flying an inflatable balloon of the President around to 'make a stand' 😴 Embarrassing behaviour.
It was decided this probably contravened FA regulations and after some more arguing it was removed. Copmanthorpe players had been reminded that they'd have to "travel up here again," if it was abandoned and they suddenly seemed more willing to play on.
Manchester has some of the lowest rates in the country. We've been put in Tier 3 simply because we kicked up a fuss last time. Nation ruled by bullies.

What do you think of the lights show before the Southampton game? Reckon we could do this at Colls if we had people up the floodlights waving their hands in front of them to make shadows
Cringe at sentimental but had many presents off my lovely class today... to the point I became embarrassed. Every day I looked forward to seeing those children and having a laugh. They bought me a York shirt, which I'll wear with pride at matches and remember them.

Hi Shannon. I'm from Four Four Two magazine. I'm doing a piece on football fans who are unable to watch their team without embarrassing themselves. You seem to have been in some right situations this season! Are you able to DM me?
Sheffield FC: "We want to build a new ground!"
Council: "Money is tight. We'll see how we can help. What's your target market?"
Sheffield FC: "Three billion fans!"
After a while players from both sides gathered by the goal line and it became apparent that the goalkeeper had cut his leg open on a tree root which had protruded through the pitch on the line. Copmanthorpe players, led by one vocal defender, were arguing for abandonment.

In the 39th minute. Duncombe Park were on the attack. They progressed into the area and a Copmanthorpe defender scythed him down from behind, two footed. Penalty awarded.

"What am I meant to do - push her away?" - Yes, Kyle. That is exactly what you're supposed to do. Just like everybody else is doing. Maybe you'll stop feeling like you're being "harassed" if you follow the rules.
"Gibbo. Are you having one more? Go on, we'll get a taxi back together." Absolutely gutted that you're gone. You welcomed me to the club and looked after me with your kindness. Thanks for all those "one more pints" 💔
We are heartbroken to report the passing of our Treasurer, supporter and friend Paul Humphreys.
He was born a Toffee but departed very much a Colls Mon, and will be missed by everybody at the club.
Our thoughts are with Jean and all of his family. RIP Paul.

Up stepped the Duncombe Park striker who coolly slotted the spot kick to the goalkeeper's left to make it 3-0. The stopper, who was having a great game despite the scoreline, stayed on the floor and received treatment for four minutes. Seemed a bit odd.
York City 3-2 Morpeth Town ⚽️ Looked like Morpeth would cause an 'upset' but Kurt Willoughby changed the game when he came on and York came from 2-0 down to progress with a late winner. My Grandad enjoyed his first York match!

I'm shocked at how somebody - in 2022 - can make monkey noises at an English football ground and nobody has said a thing at the time! I'd like to think if this happened at York, it would be reported and dealt with swiftly. Yeovil now need to find the individual and ban them.
Workington 2-3 Atherton Collieries ⚽️ Really enjoyable afternoon down the Cumbrian coast. Really friendly pubs and a decent Colls display. Still rooted to the foot of the table but not once have I gone away this season questioning our fight or effort. That's what Colls is about.
