Strong winds can cause bunker sand to blow and gather at bunker edges. This was the case last night so a full reinstatement was required this morning. It took seven greenkeepers around four hours to repair the 168 bunkers we have on the championship course. #greenkeeping

Installation of new @RainBirdGolf surround sprinklers starts today following irrigation system decommissioning by @MJAbbottLtd These extra sprinklers will allow us to water green surrounds independently to greens, which will in turn reduce man hours spent hand watering

Another nice day on the Fylde coast, like round 1 yesterday, a stiff breeze producing challenging conditions for the Centenary Vase round 2 today. Course drying down nicely, just in time for @TheOpen Regional Qualifying a week tomorrow 👌🏼⛳️

Wrapping up our greens maintenance week with a sunny Friday afternoon! ☀️ Greens Terra Spiked using our @WiedenmannUK GXi 8 300kg of @BarenbrugGroup Fescue, and 20kg of All Bent sown 30 tons of sand applied Greens rolled and back in play ⛳️👌🏼😎 #Greenkeeping

Another great champion at Royal Lytham @BernhardLanger6 , after testing conditions throughout the week the greens team did an amazing job ensuring the course was fit for play in order for the tournament to finish on Sunday. Well done all involved ⛳️👌🏼
