@WeAreFairCop What?! This is irrelevant to bail. The vast majority of accused have a reputable presumption in favour of bail. It’s only denied on the basis of a number of grounds, and I’m pretty certain presence at the scene of the alleged offence isn’t one of them.

Twitter was set up in 2006. @elonmusk bought it in 2022. In the intervening years, Islamist groups, from the Taliban to Al-Shabaab, had accounts. During that period, 42 people were killed in Islamist terror attacks in Britain. Nobody called for the platform to be banned.

In neither are people evenly distributed. Many live in cities. In Sweden, 21% live in the three largest cities. In the UK, 24%. Little difference.
