#MostUnsignedBandsAreCrap I don't like the term "unsigned"... it highlights a negative... but... There was a great opportunity for a presenter to big up the station's platforms for new music. Missed opportunity, and a massive fail from one of the biggest names in radio.

50 years ago today Gordon Wallace scored the only goal as Dundee beat Celtic to win the League Cup. Not sure a club director would be allowed to take the trophy home these days... but this is my sister Wendy and I on our doorstep with the trophy.

For nearly 4 years a daily commute from Glasgow to Edinburgh for the BFBS Scotland Breakfast Show. That was nothing! Just out of a week’s quarantine and about to board a plane for 20 hours ahead of presenting Breakfast on BFBS Falkland Islands. Expect loads of penguin pics!

Went to bed early last night. Fell asleep listening to the football on the radio. Woke up wondering why my alarm hadn’t gone off at 3.55am. As I got up I noticed it was actually 10.22pm. Must have been excited for my birthday today. 48 (showbiz age as now counting back from 50).

Bit of a thrill driving through a Blantyre this morning at 4.30 on my way to work. Had to stop for a couple of deer. One just stood there staring at me before eventually moving on. Of course when I resumed my journey they both dashed back across the road in front of me!
