And I’m done! Three days before deadline. I made this in eight weeks. Despite some crazy hardware hickups. Would love to take it further, but I’m crazy ready to move on now 🥳
Hi,
#portofolioday
💛
I’m Jenny and I’m open for full-time opportunities🥳 I’m straight out of school and right now I’m focusing on my developing my skills, and I’m also doing some work for a company. My dream job is working in a great team of inspiring people on fun projects✨
I’m a bit late for

, but I wanted to post some of my stuff anyhow 😍
Hello! I’m Jenny, and I’m a 3D art student focusing on environment art and also do some characters now and then. Nice to meet you and connect 🥳

Maybe I should just do my own thing? Just enjoy doing 3D art and not worry about getting a full time job in a while? I don’t hate that thought, maybe even start something myself and build on that little entrepreneurial mind of mine?I just want to make art and fun visual stories😮💨
Sooo, I finished it. Even though there’s a lot more I would want to do, I try to keep these projects both time limited and with a narrow focus. I’ve learned so much that I’ll take with me moving forward. I’ll make a blog post about it too - soon ✨
Omfg, I just got an A on my project exam 😫😭 I just went from. “Fack, I have Covid again” to happy dancing! It must mean that the scene was well enough optimised, which I was nervous about. It all a bit new. But I’m done with school now and ready for new adventures 💛
Did someone say

Hello, I’m Jenny!🇳🇴 I mainly focus on 3D Environment Art since it’s what I want to do professionally. But I also enjoy learning other 3D disciplines which I also benefit from in my work! So here’s a bit of everything 🥳

The lighthouse is done, and this the look I’ll go for through the entire fishing village project. There is still so much I would like to do to better it, but I need to move on to the rest of everything else on this project now 😆

Happy Monday! Last week of my project exam and I’m trying to balance making my scene feel alive, sticking to the photo reference more and trying not to go ham with the foliage brush. Last one I’ve failed miserably. But this do kind of love it 🥲😆🥺
Update! Made everything grey to tune out color disturbance for my brain to focus on the right things. Also made some test sculpts for my organic stone fence. But for now I just put them everywhere to get a feel for the look I want for the buildings. There will be bricks✨
What’s your most popular artwork?
It must be this one, when I first started posting on Twitter some months ago, it got a lot of response. I made it in a day, so that’s interesting, compared to other projects taking months 😂
The last week has been super fun. Been working with this small group of people on this project and it feels _SO GOOD_ working with others 💛 I’ve done some more work on this one today though. Need a few more textures and a trimsheet, but we’re getting there 😍
I’m starting to get REALLY excited to get back to my fishing village again next week!! Time to replace the blocks with actual buildings! 🥹 Having this break have been good though. I have some really fun ideas 🥳
Today I’m going out to celebrate. My first job in 10 years bc of major health issues. And it being making cool 3D art! Also, my body handling this, going from 0 to a 100. That I never gave up back then. That I keep not giving up when things get tough. And that I’m still learning.

, but hi! I’m Jenny. I’m still building my portofolio for more realtime environments (UE), but here is a taste of my two years of learning 3D art.
Some tips for a 3D art (environments, UE) job interview? Especially in regards to presenting an art portofolio. (Also, yay. I got my first interview). I’m still working on some proper environments in UE. I only have one finished for now. Can I show something I’m still working on?
This weekend I plan to work on my fishing village again and I’m so excited to do some more modular houses! 🥳 Putting it out there to hold myself accountable 😂
So. The last one and a half weeks, I’ve actually been WORKING as an 3D Artist. So have had no time for my personal projects basically. Which is a good thing. Because this is what I want. And let’s just say, I enjoy it. Overwhelm is in balance. And I’m learning rapidly 🥳
The area is pretty small, but one thing I love about this project is that it got a lot of potential for storytelling and clutter ✨ have some areas I need to work a bit more on to make it more interesting, but it’s all coming along 😄

Just a few buildings and a quick go-through left before the next phase, and I’m so freakin excited. Blockouts can be fun. And even “detailed” ones don’t have to take so long. Kind of know exactly where to take this now.
Sooo, time to prop it up and make this scene come alive! Some of the textures are still a work in progress, but I want to see how this will look when there’s more storytelling elements in there.
I do have ambitions in regards of 3D art. It would be great to work in games. I don’t have a dream studio to work for. Even though I have studios and projects I really love. I just want great teammates to learn from and grow with, while we make something really cool together.
Ended up with a bridge number two today. I made a wooden textures as a blockout break a few weeks back, and I’m just putting it on everything until I get into the proper texturing part of the workflow😄
Today I’ve focused on making the upper bridge and I think it looks cute 💛 trying to keep the geometry simple. I’ll also smoothed the edges on the lower parts after taking the shots. Also, don’t mind the hovering pink tree! 😆
And it’s done ✨ Planning to add small tokens and personalise it more within unreal engine. But since I’m using the scooter in a couple of places, I don’t want them to look entirely the same 😄
Today, I’m blocking out the rest of the fishing village. And also dealing with the tiling-look in the environment. Also, I found some foliage I think will look nice but I’ll probably adjust the materials to make it blend better with the props. I’m having too much fun with this 😆

After a lot of back and forth, it is DONE! Ended up rendering it in Arnold. I think maybe I’m starting to find a style, even though I like to mix it up a lot. A lot smaller file than the anchor.

Wow, this got so much love. Thank you!! It means the world. I still try to figure out what the heck I’m doing, but it gives me this weird overwhelming happy-feeling that people like my art 🥹🥲

Since I’m doing some work on the blue buildings now, I thought I’d do a few WIP close-ups of them. These buildings have been really intimidating. I find minimalistic large buildings difficult stylewise. But I think I’ve figured it out 😄 Now I’ll just roll with it ✨Happy weekend
So, question: Is it difficult using BOTH Maya and Blender, because of the differences? Or is there people out there able to juggle it pretty flowy? If so, please tell me how, and what you do where, and why 😂🥹
This is coming along nicely. This week has been all about solving technical issues, my external harddrive breaking down and yeah. But at least I figured it out and I’m back to the digital drawing board. Made some trim sheets and some new stuffs today 🥹😍
Roughly blocked out the outside and inside of the church. I’m keeping it a small stave church and take the freedom to not make it more than one floor to keep it from looking too out of place in the village from the outside 🤔
Sooo, I finished the fire hydrant. Went for a more stylised look than the first draft. But I’m really happy with how it turned out. Will definitely use it for a UE project. ✌️
Oh, hello you, 1k! I’m Jenny. I’m a 3D art student doing my last exam in school. I’ve been learning this for two years now, and I post a lot of WIP’s 🥳 Occasionally my four-legged friends and life too. I want to make story-rich fun games with an inspiring team of great people👋
Still have some polishing left, but I think I’m ready to move on soon. I really enjoy doing character art to take a break from environments now and then. And I reeeally want to finish this one 🥳 Concept by Georgi Georgiev
The progress over the weekend. Using the wooden texture to separate the things I’ve done in this phase vs the last. No focus on texturing yet, other than for visualisation. Everything will get more variation down the line✌️
I’m definitely doing my own thing. Even if I was to get into the industry as a junior, I’m scared I would be a nervous wreck. When starting my own thing feels less scary, it’s time to be creative ✌️ Might change my mind for the right opportunity, but for now, I’m driving the car.
Me lying to myself saying I won’t start another personal project before I’m in the new apartment.. 🥲 I get really inspired after finishing a project by seeing all the parts of my pieces I’d like to improve. As well as all the things I forgot to add ✨🥲😂
I used to be so sick I was bedridden for two years after a harsh virus. Then I was housebound for six. I still got some stuff but I’m so healthy I’m a 3D artist empowered by my own story and how far I’ve come. Nothing more motivating than rising from the ashes. I’m proud of me 🥹
I started properly using Twitter a month or so ago. And now everyone is going elsewhere? I’m not sure if I should stick this one out, or change platform myself. But here’s some custom foliage in making for my summer project to the people still here🥲
Show me your unfinished projects that your totes going to finish one day 🥹
My fishing village! I miss it! I’ll be back at it when I’m done with my portofolio project 🥴
