(8/10) The framework seems to aim to provide a permissionless environment that initially focuses on the #EU but may grow to a worldwide solution. The work will really start in Q3/Q4 2022, by which #IOTA Identity can deliver all requirements of the legislation.

(5/10) Initially I was afraid that the EU would want to safeguard this data themselves, but they allow private parties to become service providers. This opens the door to further decentralization by managing your data completely by yourself. Inside a wallet and with a backup.
