Disney had 7 (!) $1 billion films in 2019. Disney+ launched in November of 2019. Since then, they have watered down their IPs and took away the special experience of theatrical viewing. They made their bed. Time for Mickey to lie in it.

This does have to do with the decline of physical media. They aren’t making nearly as many copies upfront anymore, so popular titles will sell out and need to be replenished at far lower sales numbers than in the past. It’s going to be a problem you’ll continue to see.

The use of AI is never going to go away in Hollywood. You can sign a deal and get a few years of AI restrictions, but they won’t stop there. The studios are determined to make things cheaper. They aren’t going to stop. We need actual laws. Not short term labor agreements.
