This is probably one of the better cards for ruby to come out of set 4, it has a ton of great targets and can easily / safely sing a follow up 3 drop song after removing something from play because of the evasive as well.

If you are going to a store/set champs and it's one I'll be at then definitely swap decks last second to one you haven't played much. If it's one I won't be at then just play whatever deck you have the most experience with and you will do fine.

A quick 1-2 drop in my last set champs, 🟢🟣 is a rough matchup for 🦀. Overall we attended 6 and went 1st, 9th, 8th, 1st, 2nd, drop Good for 3 stitches 2 champ mats and 1 non champ mat. Not too bad.

Can we stop calling the new Jafar decks OTK (one turn kill), even with double whole new world in the same turn it's still only 14 lore gained which is decidedly not a one turn combo to 0-20 your lore and win. Questing before you combo up to that point defeats your own 'OTK'

Trapped between wanting to test more set3 for Atlanta or just brew cool new stuff with set4 cards. I suspect there is a huge advantage to just sticking with one deck all format so you can just use your 400 games or whatever as the experience needed and just move on quicker zzz

After some more thought about the 2 game swiss format I have some thoughts about it both pro and con for #Lorcana I like that you have the opportunity to be both on the play and on the draw in equal numbers against the same opponent, the die roll decides less rounds then. 🧵1/

Deck was bad, mulligans were pretty bad, draws were pretty middling all day. Overall the Arthur hybrid pile was not consistently performing favorably in the RP mirrors which makes me wonder, Why bother with an Arthur hybrid at all if the mirror can just race you with kuzco+rabbit

It's been a year since the FTX collapse killed Storybook Brawl which included World's in the Bahamas, upcoming tournament casting, and nearly all the momentum from my stream. It was heartbreaking to lose the community and the potential SBB had as well as my place within that. 🛫

My only real gripe about the Lorcana challenge not including set 4 cards is that players often look towards large tournament results for deck ideas so playing a high profile event in an older format makes the results feel entirely pointless for players to even look at.

I am disappointed in myself however that comes from my expectations being high and knowing I can be better. If I go back and review a game and there are no obvious mistakes then I played my best and lost which happens. It's the mistakes in my play that frustrate me, not losing.

SBB tip of the day: If you find yourself struggling with Holy Grail turns try making a plan before going to the shop phase. Things like what units on your current board you will sell and treasures that can be replaced. Often at 6 the plan is just buy the 6s so be efficient!

Round 7 my op DC on turn 4, I had a great hand for the mirror and rather than taking the win I allowed a rematch. My hand was dramatically worse and I lost then after a quick 0-2 next round I am just dead for top 16 instead of being locked. Being nice is too low EV to do it again

When I participate in events myself I find that I have extremely harsh expectations that can lead to disappointment even when the actual outcome was outstanding. I'm going to be on the lookout for more opportunities to do coverage as I think it's where I want to end up. #Lorcana

Lost in top 8, Mufasa dumped me 3 times, the same person twice with the evasive list. Lost the die roll so it's impossible to keep up with just surfer pongo goofy etc when they are on the play. Unfortunate and unsure what could improve the matchup at all. 3 more tries next week

SBB tip of the day: Staying open going into tier 6 is often better than hard committing to a comp. Robin Wood can be used in trees or goodboy, rotten apple tree is usable in trees or pumpkin. If you can only improve from a specific tier 6 you only have a 3.7% chance to find it

New draw engine just dropped for amethyst, as long as they get a few more cards that look at the top of the deck that are decent standalone this card could be an easy 4 of since it's inkable. Hat plus 1-2 Ursula's cauldron is a bit slow but much less ink every turn than mirror

Miscounted my lore and overcomplicated a turn instead of just questing out and killing a character with a spell and left myself in a spot where I was a bit short on lore digging 13 cards and missing the answer to actually close the game so I split round 2, 0-0-2

@Lorcanadecks It certainly feels like we need more tournament data as well, during the swiss I went first 2 times total and ferranate only went first twice all weekend so while it does have some impact this number feels overblown somewhat by the ladder specifically. Could be cope though
