Look what I saw @metmuseum - folio from the so called “Tashkent Quran", one of the oldest surviving Quran manuscripts in existence that dates back to late 8th-early 9th century. About 1/3 of the original manuscript is housed in the Hast-Imam Library in #Tashkent , #Uzbekistan .

Breaking News: the flight from Baghdad just landed with 64 Uzbek children on board. The operation to deliver them back home was commissioned by President Mirziyoyev together w/ Iraqi Gov and UNICEF. 39 boys and 25 girls, incl 14 kids under 3 yrs old and 2 orphans, are safe now!🙏

#DiscoverUndiscoveredUzbekistan : Central part of #Tashkent city is also a home for remains of ancient #MingUrik fortress, literally meaning 'Garden of thousand apricots'. It was part of the historical town of #Choch , existed I-VII centuries AD. Now there is a museum on its place.

On my way to #Bloomington , I made a stop in #Cloverdale , a small rural town in #Indiana , to greet Durdona from 🇺🇿 Namangan, one of 35 @FLEXProgram students currently arriving in 21 🇺🇸 states. Thankful to this American family for being a great host to her for one academic year.

Just touched down in #Tashkent . Tomorrow, I’ll be joining the First Inaugural Session of the Strategic Partnership Dialogue between #Uzbekistan and the U.S. that will be followed by the Annual Ambassadorial Meeting bringing together all the 🇺🇿 Chiefs of Missions across the world.

75 yrs ago the deadliest #WWII took half a mln of #Uzbekistan 's pop (10%) out of 2 mln mobilized. 1,5 mln ppl evacuated from battlefields incl 200K kids found their new home in 🇺🇿. To tribute all who had fallen @president_uz opened #VictoryPark Memorial Complex!

Very grateful to @KassenovaNargis @DCRES_Harvard for the warm welcome @Harvard . Fascinated touring the campus, the Alma Mater of eight U.S. presidents and 188 living billionaires, the most of any university. I was very fortunate to explore some of the 12 degree-granting Schools.

A news everyone’s been waiting for - @cottoncampaign , a coalition of rights groups & 330+ international brands, has finally lifted the boycott of #Uzbek cotton & textile products. This decision was followed by @ilo ’s report stating the complete eradication of forced labor in 🇺🇿.

1st time staying in #Muynak , 150km from #AralSea , most affected by the disaster, formerly a sea port. However, it's recovering fast - new airport opened in '20, once abandoned fish conserving plant revived its operations. #ShipGraveyard & Museum are must visit places.
