The Conservative Party is no longer a genuine political entity. The interests of the UK & its people are irrelevant to it. It’s now nothing more than a mechanism for enabling profiteering, & misusing the vulnerable UK political system to extract wealth from the public purse.

Hard to believe in a ‘country of law & order’. A man commits a crime involving millions of ££, and conceals it. He threatens those investigating it, lies about it to his employers, then when he’s finally caught, agrees to hand over just some of the money. And isn’t jailed.

@petemorristwit The NHS is not ‘broken beyond repair’, it’s just running on fumes. The Tories have tried to kill it off with sabotage and neglect, but they haven’t managed it yet.

As you watch this, remember that as @Feargal_Sharkey pointed out, water companies’ licences have a clause making it illegal to pay dividends if it would "Impair the ability of the company to finance the regulated water and sewerage business." But Ofwat let them do it anyway.

The disgraced Johnson put Harries in charge of the UKHSA after she told us Covid was harmless to our children. 190 of them are now dead, 35,000 have been hospitalised, & 70,000 are suffering Long Covid. Why is Harries still in post? And why are our kids being denied the vaccine?

Gullis misled the HoC this afternoon, saying that an “illegal migrant” has been “deported” to Rwanda. He was referring to the man who was denied asylum here, and accepted an offer of £3,000 to go. Sunak then stood up and declared that Gullis was “absolutely right”.

#CovidInquiry Speaking of disappearing messages, Sunak’s still need to be disburied and examined, and he himself needs to be held to account for apparently lying to the inquiry about them. This is no trivial misdemeanour; and his customary ‘Inadvertent’ defence won’t wash here.

My brain keeps coming back to this Sunak fails to hand WhatsApp messages to Covid inquiry In his witness statement, he claims he doesn't have access to messages as he'd changed his phone & failed to back up😡 If proven otherwise, would this be perjury?

Braverman neglected her due diligence when she initiated the Rwanda scheme, handed over money & made an agreement without proper consultation, and the Home Office has been on a foolish sunk cost goose chase ever since. Can the taxpayers sue her for the public money she’s wasted?

Sunak is puerile, a knock-off Boris. Look at him in #PMQs , not answering them but denigrating Starmer instead, shouting and lying like a Johnson. With a Speaker incapable even of keeping order, the HoC is unfit for purpose & the Govt no longer subject to any effective scrutiny.

Why should it take a programme on TV to get the Met to investigate? Maybe we need a drama about the duff £37 billion NOT-NHS Test & Trace scheme, why an audit couldn’t be done, and why Government refused to publish records of meetings between Dido Harding and the firms involved?

I have seen enough of them now to always watch with great interest the “moment” that a truly shocking state inflicted disaster hits wider public consciousness. It’s often, in the U.K. via the medium of an excellent TV docudrama and since the 90s I have observed the same pattern…

It’s not a Covid thing. The children of Covid-struck Germany do not need to be fed by UNICEF. Meanwhile, until Friday, Cummings is still enjoying a pay rise nearly twice as big as UNICEF’s donation; & Johnson has spent over a hundred times as much on severance payments for spads.

So, with Sunak as Chancellor, the Health Department gave to this one company, which had supplied nothing at all, a sum equivalent to the total yearly pay of seventeen hundred nurses. And now Sunak says he can’t meet the nurses’ demands for fair pay.

All of England's schools were to have been revamped by this year, 2023. BUT.. In July 2010, Tory Education Sec Gove cancelled 719 school revamps - the Tories were axing Labour’s scheme. Ed Balls said: “Today is a black day for our country's schools.”

‘Questionable’ is being kind. Answerable’ is what we need. And that’s not what Michael Gove delivered, with his ‘independent’ review. Gove refused to allow the National Audit Office to conduct the review being called for, and appointed instead a panel of his own choosing..
