Hoping for a story in which Hamlin wakes up, is told he’s going to be ok and then told his charity raised more than a million dollars in a couple hours. I really want that for him.
I watched a guy in downtown Buffalo quietly pay the dinner tab for a family from Cincinnati yesterday. He told the server to tell them “thank you” and nothing more.
The whole Buffalo/Cincinnati thing is kind of the pinnacle of what sports should be.
The Bills could’ve hired Vince Lombardi.
The Bills could’ve drafted Joe Montana.
The Bills could’ve had a different kicker in 1990.
The Bills could’ve drafted Gronk.
The Bills could’ve kidnapped Tom Brady and rocketed him into the sun.
None of it matters.
The whole Bills thing isn’t just about football. It’s about 20+ years of having your city trashed along with a football team. It’s been about knowing what other people didn’t; Buffalo is a good place. It’s having to defend a city to people who’ve been there twice or never...
Pittsburgh is really good and beat the hell out of Allen. He adjusted and beat the hell out of them. And you don’t want this man in the MVP conversation?
Josh Allen is not the problem.
Josh Allen is not the problem.
Josh Allen is not the problem.
Josh Allen is not the problem.
Josh Allen is not the problem.
Josh Allen is not the problem.
Josh Allen is not the problem.
Josh Allen is not the problem.
Josh Allen is not the problem.
Honestly always felt the “culture” thing on sports teams was a lot of salesmanship, but the Bills and Sabres seemed to have stacked themselves with very good human beings.
Buffalo has the bones of a major metro area. It just chooses not to be one. We allow failure after failure. But here’s the thing: you want big city amenities like keeping the Bills and Sabres? More MLB games maybe? Well then you have to do big city shit...
During The Drought, the Bills had a “win and you’re in” game against the Steelers who had nothing to play for. The Steelers played their backups and unknowns and beat the Bills. THAT is why I’ll never take anything in sports for granted.
NY Governor Kathy Hochul: Steelers-Bills is still on for 4:30 ET Monday.
"I'm not saying it's going to be pleasant, but it's not going to be life-threatening either."
"Go Bills".
Stefon Diggs gets emotional to teammates, doesn’t call anyone out publicly:
“He’s a problem. A diva. Too selfish. Time for him to go.”
Cole Beasley attacks his own team, the league and fans over and over:
“Bease has his beliefs and feels strongly about them. I respect him.”
When I was an intern I was getting liners from players. I get to Nate Clements and he does “Nate Clements, cornerback, THE Ohio State University.” Vincent yells “you didn’t go to Ohio St. You PLAYED for Ohio St. Name one building that isn’t the stadium. You can’t.”
He couldn’t.
If you’re in my age range, most of your adult life was spent rooting for the drought teams. I’m just not willing to nitpick a team that just won a 3rd consecutive division title. I love them.
Interesting things about Buffalo, NY:
1) First city in the Western Hemisphere to use electric street lights.
2) One of just three cities designed in a radial (wagon wheel) pattern.
3) Murder is legal apparently.
4) It’s where chicken wings were invented.
If you watch the Sabres now and your reaction is “they’ve been bad forever,” “they’re still almost last place,” etc., you’re just depriving yourself of joy and fun and I feel bad for you.
Dear Giants fans, you should be happy about Daboll. He’s a good coach with a diverse skillset having coached offense and defense, pro and college. But if you think Daniel Jones is going to become Josh Allen… no.
BILLS: We trusted our sports science department to determine when and how we should travel to London.
THE DEPARTMENT: Googles “when should we go to London?”
Orchard Park could have a dome with a dome inside of a dome. The game would still need to be moved. I get why dumb people don’t understand that but it seems lost on some reasonable folks as well.
BUFFALO: The Bills are a New York team!
MORE BUFFALO: We don’t care about anywhere else. We have nothing to prove.
ALSO BUFFALO: The Bills are THE ONLY New York Team!
STILL BUFFALO: Keep Buffalo A Secret!
YET BUFFALO: Talk about our pizza or else!
I’ll almost always side with players over ownership but the fact that Eichel got all his wishes in Buffalo but accepted no responsibility and no commitment to lead a turnaround bothers me. I know it’s a tire fire of an organization but I always wished he had stepped up.
I do not care about a Sabres/Leafs. The Bills in Toronto series is in the past. Because of the Blue Jays and the pending border opening, I hearby declare now and forever…

BREAKING: Hockey player who’s been pretty clear about wanting to leave the Sabres alludes to leaving Sabres; compliments hometown.
Fans suddenly shocked, enraged.
I don’t care about public money. You want the NFL, you have to know that’s coming. 50-65% is even reasonable. It’s that they hinted at another city. Knowing what we’ve all been through, to drop a threat is classless even of the ruling class.
Woke up to learn:
- Fitz was at the game!
- Pats alums have no choice but to be gracious.
- New England Media is so sad and beside themselves. They literally cannot handle life after Brady.
- People calling this a “perfect game” for an NFL offense.
Good morning everyone!
Thank you for giving me a ride to the airport. So nice to meet you and your daughter Matt. You wouldn’t let me pay you so I’m hoping you accept my offer to bring you and your brother who is a fan in St.Louis to KC with me. I will also cover your airfare😎

Marijuana is less harmful than alcohol in every measurable and immeasurable way. As it gets legalized in NY (🙄) seeing journalists refer to it as “the drug” in their articles is pretty laughable.
Bills fans started donating to Lamar Jackson’s favorite charity overnight after he left the AFC divisional game with a concussion and the Ravens lost.
Amazing 👏

Am I alone saying “13 seconds” doesn’t bother me? I was bummed but I don’t see some franchise altering collapse in it. Two of the best teams in the NFL nearing their height and wild stuff happened. I’m happy the Bills were in a game like that.
I moved away last year. I’d only ever lived in Buffalo. Covid has messed with my head badly. This Bills team made a lot better. Coming to this website to bullshit about this great season dulled a great deal of homesickness.
I’m thankful for this season. I miss the Bills.
Driving around furiously hitting my horn to the tune of “LET’S GO BUF-A-LO” and it’s just not getting the responses I hoped it would in downtown Minneapolis.
If Ken Dorsey’s choice is coming down to “I’d rather live in NYC than Buffalo” then good luck to him. IF that’s the case, then the Bills will be better off long term even if it sucks now.
Sorry, I don’t feel bad that they’ll probably lose to the best team in football in the AFC Championship game. I don’t think they suck and I don’t think they don’t belong.
The most talented players in the NFL want to live in Miami. They get any player they want. Why do they always suck? Because when a guy wants to live in Miami more than he wants to win, that’s what happens. Give me dudes who don’t care where they are but who are desperate to win.
It’s not just drunk driving. Motorist entitlement is insane. You think the car in front of you is going too slow so you FLOOR it around him without any regard to who might be there. I signal a lane change and you speed up to prevent me from doing so.
All to what, send a message?
So the towns are clear. The county and county roads are clear. County and town services are back online. The City of Buffalo is still without a functional plan. Something is wrong in the city. I won’t claim to know much, but come on.
If the rumor is true that the Sabres have a reputation for being disingenuous, unrealistic and for being bad-faith negotiators, then they are done because THAT is ownership.
Dan Dunleavy faces an impossible task every time he calls a game (measuring up to Jeanneret). But he’s really good and I like his calls more and more every game.
