Such a bizarre take. In just a little over a year, Briere has taken Fletcher’s mess and transformed it into a team with a budding prospect pool and several high-end draft assets. Could more be done? Sure — trading Konecny/Laughton for example. But an “abysmal” tenure? No shot.

One thing to just keep in mind is how “quiet” the #Flyers have been behind the scenes when needed. The Gauthier trade was (for obvious reasons) under wraps the entire time, Briere has been relatively silent about Michkov too. Constant leaks came out under the last regime.

Tyson Foerster wearing #18 at dev camp, and seemingly, for the season. Surprised he didn’t go with 71, but giving a guy who played 8 games a number choice tells me about the level of confidence that Torts, Briere and staff have that he’ll be a full-time NHLer this year.

This x1000. Frost’s maturity both on AND off the ice over the last couple of season has been beyond impressive. Back-to-back 40+ point seasons in his first two full NHL years is no fluke either — that’s not even considering his injury struggles early on. #Flyers

Honestly, I am rooting for Frost to have the big breakout year in 2024-25 centering Michkov. He's a great kid and has put up with so much over the last few years that he deserves it. It would feel like a cosmic reward for surviving The Torts Treatment.
