I feel bad for Dontaie Allen. Kid can play. Unfortunately the coaching staff at the University of Kentucky doesn’t appreciate the talent Kentucky kids have.
Kelly Craft spent nearly $11 million of her own money in a primary, for a job that pays $190,000 a year, just to finish in 3rd. Not only that, but 3rd in the county she lives in.
I mean… Damn. Guess those “woke” teacher ads backfired!
IT’S OFFICIAL! WE HAVE A NEW VANHOOSE!
Happy and excited to announce that I am officially a “Dad!” Taylor has been a part of my life for the last few years and I have loved her like my own since she came into our lives. It’s pretty safe to say this is one of the best days ever!
Got to hang out with everyone’s favorite Kentucky Wildcat this afternoon who was in Lexington to support our fellow teammate Todd Tackett at his induction into the
@KHSAA
Hall of Fame!
You should be EMBARRASSED to run a state-wide campaign add like this. In no way, shape, or form are things like this taking place in Kentucky primary, elementary or secondary schools.
SHAMEFUL!
Every child should be given the opportunity to learn and reach their full potential without having immoral woke ideologies forced upon them. We should be teaching our children the ABCs, not the CRTs.
I don’t care who you are, if you’re at Rupp Arena on a Saturday night, watching or playing for a state championship and don’t tear up or get chills when My Old Kentucky Home is being sung..... well, you just don’t like basketball in this state!
A successful throwback game tonight at the historic Wayland (Kentucky) Gym! Wayland (Floyd Central) defeated Hindman (Knott Central) in front of a packed house!
The home of “King” Kelly Coleman did not disappoint.
Who wants to be the next team to play in this historic palace?
When I'm governor, I'll fire Kentucky's education commissioner on day one, empower parents, and ensure our teachers can teach real knowledge and skills instead of being forced to promote wokeism and critical race theory.
#KYgov
According to
@coreyp08
, “the only players to score at least 3,000 career points, be named Kentucky Mr. Basketball, and win a KHSAA Boys’ Sweet 16 state championship in their high school career:
-
@JRVanHoose
(Paintsville)
-
@Travis_Perry11
(Lyon County)”
VERY COOL!
Andy Beshear goes to Iowa.
“It reinforces everything we’ve heard from pundits, that there’s some interest in him. It’s one thing when James Carville says it, but it’s another when the Iowa state party invites him. He’s the keynote. That’s real.”
This is who I’m honoring on this Veterans Day, my brother.
He is being deployed in a few weeks and I will miss him terribly. Please throw some prayers his way for safe travels and a safe return home. LOVE YA BRO!
#VeteransDay2023
I swear, I haven’t seen so many people allegedly “for the kids” so upset that washers and dryers are being put in schools in Louisville.
It must be a sad life for people who don’t want people to be able to help out kids or families when they are in need.
I didn’t feel attacked, I felt like I was being protected. If staying away from public gatherings was going to keep my wife, my daughter, my sister, my brother, my parents and my in-laws safe. I was more than happy to stay home and attend an online service.
Gov. Beshear ceded family values years ago. Among other attacks on Kentuckians’ most cherished values he ordered State Police to guard the entrances to churches, on Easter Sunday no less.
Anyone ever wondered why Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District stretches from the Mississippi River to the state capitol in Frankfort?
That is nearly 330 miles long! How can people in that district have the same interests and needs?
Every time I’ve met
@AndyBeshearKY
he comes off as a genuine and caring person. I may not agree with all of his decisions but I do feel he wants what is best for Kentucky.
I wouldn’t mind to see him in the 2028 Presidential race either!
I’ve just returned from Louisville, where we sat down with Gov. Andy Beshear in an emotional and raw interview as his state is the latest to face a mass shooting. He’s not only leading the city in mourning, he's personally grieving. Our full interview is tonight at 9 p.m.
I feel bad for Dontaie Allen. Kid can play. Unfortunately the coaching staff at the University of Kentucky doesn’t appreciate the talent Kentucky kids have.
In the next few weeks I hope people don’t bash Appalachia because of a book.
We are a historic, proud people and definitely not like some portray us to be in movies and films.
Hey everyone, please join me in praying for one of my students who had a serious “cardiac event” today at school.
According to his aunt, the paramedics were able to get him stable enough to fly out to UK Children's Hospital in Lexington. However, his status was very critical.
Very humbled and proud to let everyone know that I have been named the Kentucky American History Teacher of the Year by the Kentucky Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.
Hey everyone, if you could offer some thoughts and prayers to my brother
@Alex_VanHoose
as tomorrow he leaves for a week-long mission to the Middle East in preparation for a full deployment with his unit of the Kentucky National Guard later this winter.
We love you bub!
Hey everyone, it’s not often I ask for much, but if you would please keep my grandmother and my family in your prayers. She’s been vaccinated but has just been diagnosed with COVID and at 85, she is having a hard time with it. Thank you all!
Got to FaceTime my brother this evening who is deployed, he said to tell everyone MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
God bless those soldiers, sailors and airmen who can’t be with their families this holiday season. I can’t thank them, or my brother, enough for what they are doing!
#ArmyProud
People ask me all the time, “What was it like to be recruited in high school?”
Well, I was going through some things as my parents cleaned out their attic, I found a call log I kept if coaches who called me the first day they could and my first scholarship offer - Notre Dame.
I think there is something everyone can agree with politically…
TERM LIMITS for Congress and state legislatures.
Congress
Senate: 2 terms (6 years) = 12
House: 6 terms (2 years) = 12
State (Ky for example)
Senate: 3 terms (4 years) = 12
House: 6 terms (2 years) = 12
I’ve been insulted in my playing career and my coaching career too.
It’s just a shame that some people in this state continue to insult others because of where they live or how smart they think they are.
I’m proud of where I live!
@BoyleCoSchools
Andy for President?
@GovAndyBeshear
’s comments when asked about his name being mentioned as a candidate if President Biden were to drop out. Beshear has been named by several national media outlets as a potential replacement.
@WLKY
After a re-read of Hillbilly Elegy, I noticed something out of place. On page 36, “the primary road from Jackson (KY) to Ohio was US 23…”
The main road through Jackson since at least 1939 is Hwy 15. US 23 is 50 miles east - Pikeville, Prestonsburg, Paintsville, Louisa, Ashland.
I don’t know when or why “WOKE” became such a “bad” thing and why it’s a political rallying cry for some.
According to the dictionary, it simply means to be “aware of and attentive to societal issues such as racism, inequality and social injustice.”
How is that bad?
Hey
@AndyBeshearKY
, this should definitely be a campaign photo moving forward!
A great moment captured by
@TConley_JCTV37
and his crew at the ground breaking for the new Johnson Central High School the other day.
1972 Kentucky Mr. Basketball Jerry Thurston (Owensboro) tragically lost his Mr. Basketball trophy in a house fire and his classmates purchased a replacement trophy that was presented to him at halftime of the Kentucky/Indiana All-Star Game tonight!
Such a great moment!
Met a true LEGEND today, Mr. John Rosenberg. His family, harassed by the Nazis, fled to America in 1940. After serving in the military he worked in the Civil Rights Division of the DOJ in the 1960s in cases against the Klan, before coming to Kentucky to help Appalachia.
So….. you are saying that the “super majority” is going to punish the average citizen of Kentucky and not help Governor Beshear with his ideas for this state so they can teach him a lesson?
Damn, you really are cold hearted, aren’t you?
The inconvenient truth that Andy Beshear leaves out of every promise he makes to the KY voters is...he will never get it through the KY Legislature because he has no relationship with legislative leaders or rank and file members!
His Promises are empty...all of them!
Would love to see Hal Rogers (
@HalRogersKY5
), Governor Beshear (
@GovAndyBeshear
) and Kentucky state senators and house members work together to extend the I-65 spur (Bowling Green to Somerset) from Somerset to the US23 connection at Prestonsburg!
An interstate from BG to SEKY!
The Biden-Beshear open border policies are endangering our families and children. As Governor, I will work to ensure that Kentucky is no longer a border state.
Gov. Andy Beshear says he will campaign against -- and defeat -- the proposed amendment to the Kentucky Constitution on public funding of private schools. Here's why.
Look y’all, I can promise that as a teacher I’m not worried about changing gender. If I was going to help kids change anything I’d make sure all the boys wore deodorant after gym class, everyone brought pencil and paper to class and that everyone turned their work in on time.
The REAL
@AndyBeshearKY
is too liberal for Kentucky
✅ Would let school employees to help kids change genders without telling their parents
✅Anti-coal record
✅ Sent police to churches
INFRASTRUCTURE
If I was a politician I would like to see Interstate 26 (red) extended from Kingsport, TN up US 23 into eastern Kentucky.
It could then connect with I-64 in Boyd County (black) or I-64 in Winchester (green).
Think of the jobs! LET’S DO THIS!
I am learning terrible news this morning. Legendary Kentucky high school basketball coach Billy Hicks has passed away.
Unbelievably horrible news. Coach Hicks was a great man, a great coach and later in my life, a great friend.
We will all miss you coach!
RIP to a legendary coach that had a lot of baggage follow behind him. A stern taskmaster with a troubled legacy.
The memories of his recruitment of me are still very vivid to this day and make for some good stories. I doubt others would think the stories are great.
I wanted to share part of a very cool project I’m working on for my Civics and U. S. History classes this year… the evolution of Kentucky in presidential elections (1844 to 2020).
This will be a great tool in helping explain the views of Kentuckians during points in history!
@MattBevin
As a proud Kentuckian, this is shameful to see. You understand there will be deaths in Kentucky from this illness, right? Colleges have gone to online learning and the NCAA has announced no fans will be in attendance at basketball tournament games. Have some compassion.
Very proud of my daughter Taylor who has been named the head volleyball coach at Letcher Central High School.
Already a district champion coach, I see some region championships in the future!!!
So great to see my old friend and
@HerdFB
legend
@ChadPennington
tonight! It sure had been a while since we’d seen each other and it was so great to catch up.
Do y’all remember when the Mountain Parkway and Daniel Boone Parkway had toll booths?
Here’s a pic from one on the Mountain Parkway in Magoffin County in the 1980s.
22 years ago, I and my
@Herd_MBB
brothers, faced off against
@KentuckyMBB
for the only time in my career.
I sure didn’t help by going 5/14 from the field, but standing ovation from the crowd for me at the end was AMAZING!
Good luck against the Cats Friday fellas!
#GoHerd
So obviously, someone like Childers who looks, sounds, and claims to be thoroughly representative of his Appalachian roots is, on a social level, he's not close to fully representative because his ethics are a form of leftist (or you could say culturally Marxist) colonization.
Fantastic post on Facebook! Parents please quit making excuses for your kids, quit blaming others, especially the coaches. We do not hate your kid. We love all the kids we coach! If you want them to become successful, let them figure it out on their own!
Wait… So the chief law enforcement officer of the “Commonwealth of Kentucky and all of its departments, commissions, agencies, and political subdivisions…” is blaming someone else for crime?
Doesn’t he have a hand in helping mitigate that as well?
Harlan County’s Trent Noah (
@trentnoah2_
), a South Carolina signee, became a certified
@KHSAA
“Sweet 16” legend tonight. L Harlan County, down as many as 16, came back to defeat Campbell County in OT, 85-71. Noah finished with 48 points!
WOW!!
"I think if somebody calls you on that, what you do is at least listen. And I want the American people to know what a Kentuckian is and what they look like. Because let me just tell you that JD Vance ain't from here."

@GovAndyBeshear
on the possibility of running for VP
I’ll never understand why people take pleasure in hoping that our re-elected governor can’t work or get things done with our legislature.
All those who blame others for Kentucky’s “rankings” seem to want it to continue. It’s just hurting the people they apparently care for.
I am a supporter of
@GovAndyBeshear
and despite what you say, I love America; love my ancestors who fought to create this country; love and will defend our pillars of freedom, liberty and democracy and believe that America is GREAT!
Don’t be divisive on this great day!
When I’m Governor, I’ll designate the entire month of July as “American Pride Month.” We will celebrate America, its Founding Fathers, and the core pillars of freedom, liberty, and democracy all month long. America is fundamentally a force for good in the world, despite what Andy
Buddy, you bought 16.5 pounds of USDA Prime Rib Roast! Looking at butcher shops who offer that cut, it feeds 14+ people!
You got it cheap for $18.99 a pound! If you’re mad, maybe don’t have a party for so many.
When my wife and I met him at a Republican fundraiser for his AG campaign he spoke to us privately and said the same things. He “didn’t want to use the office as a stepping stone…”
I should have known better. Can’t believe I voted for him.
Congratulations to Governor Beshear, Lt. Governor Coleman, and our new down-ticket constitutional officers. I look forward to working with each of you in good faith the next 4 years to move our Commonwealth forward.
As I have said for the last year or so…
TERM LIMITS for Congress and state legislatures should be law.
Congress
Senate: 2 terms (6 years) = 12
House: 6 terms (2 years) = 12
State (Ky for example)
Senate: 3 terms (4 years) = 12
House: 6 terms (2 years) = 12
Friends in/around Corbin, Kentucky just be aware that the Ku Klux Klan is planning to have a rally from noon to 4 this Saturday per WKYT.
They have also posted about it on Twitter. Be safe!
