@mattkaroly Not true -protections are not just based on "helping the LG". You can give help to a bad player on your line but teams don't slide to specifically help the LG. And teams don't just run to the right, and even if they did, on certain plays the backside G is the most important block

This was probably the best small thing I did all season…adding neon tape to the sled to give TARGETS for the EYES of our OL. Allowed us to work our blocks on the sled with appropriate eyes, aiming points, steps. Created powerful feet, better pad level & better hat placement.

@jbryanmann maybe i'm a jackass but I feel like u won't ever get to a point with HS athletes (powerlifting club, maybe?) where u need advanced periodization over a linear scheme. Not enough time, not enough focus on lifting heavier (vs performance). must teach how to lift first too.
