Happy to announce that today was my first day at
@Cloud9
! I'll be taking on all things social media management wise for
@C9LoL
.
Working in League of Legends has always been a career goal, it's an honor to do it for the first org I was ever a fan of

@hadistan32
There's so many talented OWL socials people who still haven't found work after, I don't want to disrespect the person here who is trying their best but there is a lot of great potential staff out there
I’m going to be casing with
@CeeBeeChan
tomorrow for the
@TorontoDefiant
Pride Cup and I want to make it abundantly clear that if you have a problem with her, you have a problem with me.
I won’t stand for any sort of bigotry.
How many of my fellow esports people have felt imposter syndrome at one time or another? Regardless of role, tier, or game, I'm curious. I've basically felt it on and off for over a year
Never thought I’d be back doing socials in Overwatch League, was an honor to play a small part of the journey. Some of the best dudes I’ve ever gotten to work with, what a ride it was.
This farewell is the start of our new journey 💙🧡
Thank you for the love, the support, and for always believing in us no matter what. We couldn't have made it this far without you!
After giving it a lot of thought, at this point in time, I will be retiring from casting. I don't see a path forward with the current ecosystem
My only regret is never proving I was good enough to be where I thought I belonged 🫡
Fun fact, SMMs are people and they make mistakes! Reminding them that they made a mistake does not make you a superior person, just a mean-spirited one.
It’s sad that I wrote about the Path to Poverty in Overwatch in 2020 and very little has changed when it comes to infrastructure or accountability. We all love Overwatch and want the Tier 2 scene to succeed but that only comes with change
#ContendersStrike
I only joined the
@DallasFuel
's social team at the beginning of the playoff run but everyone in this organization has been working their butt off the entire season to be where they are now. It's disappointing, but it's not the end. Until next season
My first in-person event I worked as an SMM was in a restaurant. When we won summer 2022 I got to celebrate from my home office. Today I got to celebrate on the LCS stage. Gonna soak in this one in for a long time, congrats to the team on another amazing split
#C9WIN
What a great weekend for esports. Two finals that go the distance, one the story of the team that finally got to be the top dog, the other the underdogs who no one thought could win the big one. Truly incredible
Overwatch got me into esports. Without Overwatch or Overwatch League, I would have never pursued this career. I'm super excited for Overwatch 2 but owe a lot of amazing memories and friendships to this game. I'll see you in 5v5 🫡
#SeeYouOnTheOtherSide
I guess now is a good time as ever to make my own little announcement...
I'll be in Raleigh for LCS Spring Finals to help support socials and marketing on-site! Super excited!
No matter what comes next, I went from a fan who stayed up all night in London to watch OWL in 2018 to someone who got to work for three different teams, cast a ton of incredible moments and make some amazing memories.
Thank you Overwatch League
I don't think there is anything wrong with entering esports with 0 experience in the scene, I love that people are crossing over from traditional sports.
But how many times can an org hire people from outside and not hold them responsible to learn the industry they work in?

I'm not a huge fan of Nicole either but Ian is a great guy and it's just a game... yeah, I'm sad Janelle is gone, but like let's all take a deep breath and relax, these are real people who are all doing what they think is best to win.
Gotta pinch myself to remember how far I’ve come in the last year and a half. From graduating without a purpose or direction to this. Doesn’t feel real.
The end of something isn't always the end of everything. A year ago I lost what I thought was my best chance at making a career for myself in the esports industry, only for it to open more doors than I could have ever imagined. Best thing that could have ever happened to me 🥂
For those who might not know, when it comes to any sort of roster announcement on social media, you work incredibly closely with the team managers and general manager to make sure everything is good with timing. You don't post those things without their full permission to do so.
I see so many of my wonderfully talented friends get turned down from jobs because they don't have enough tier 1 experience despite working in esports for years.
How are they supposed to get said experience when you won't give them a chance??? Everyone has to start somewhere.
If Roe Vs Wade is overturned I’m going to be sick to my stomach. It’s 2022 and we can’t even protect a women’s constitutional right to make choices for what they think is best for their body. This country is a disgrace.
So many thoughts and feelings today...
Overwatch League was a big part of what made me want to work in esports. From being a casual player to being an Uprising fan because they were from Boston, playing collegiate, casting, and all the twists and turns in between.
1 year of laughter, adventures, and love. A lot has changed in the last 12 month but the one consistent thing is having each other. Thanks for always sticking by my side through it all ❤️
Can’t believe DreamHack is already over, one of the wildest events I’ve had the honor of getting to work. Appreciate all of the awesome people I got to meet while running around this weekend
To everyone heading home, safe travels!
When people send me messages about how I helped them get casts or jobs in esports it makes my heart melt 🥲
So many times we see our peers as rivals for jobs, when all it takes is a little help to get someone's foot through the door. Let's be better and help those around us
